Hi coach! How can I tell people that I am a Trump Supporter as well as prevent them from instantly labelling me as a racist / homophobe (etc...) ? I'm not going to sit here and explain to you what is a surplus value and that ownership is by no means equivalent to productivity. Not am I getting into a capitalism-communism debate. Right now, capitalism is good, and working well. But since capitalism is a system that solves other people's problems for profit, thus incentiveizing the solution of others problems, it would logically follow that this would one day culminate in full automation. At that point is where a communist, or resource based economy would come into play. Turning everything we have now into a governmental communist society would be full blown retarded. I'm saying eventually, when tech gets there, which it is not right now.

Like Dick said, and he said something we all feel, we are working so hard just to come home and do nothing. The dream is not to work . So if our current system is not capable of handling that perfect ideal, what are we even working towards?

What will happen when we automate everything? When the day comes when McDonald's becomes a vending machine, when brain surgery is successfully done by robots (thanks Lacy), when car factories like the one I work at becomes fully automated, when the self check out lane defeats the cashier, when the day everyone dreams of becomes a reality, the day when no one any longer has to work, what then? Within our current capitalist society, all of our social systems would collapse. We live in a world , within an economic system , that could not survive the best thing happening to us; that being no one having to work any longer. And sure , nothing ever works right, so there would have to be technicians or someone there to manage it. But having the self checkout line as an example, for 10 machines (I.E.- what used to be ten people) , there is one person troubleshooting. What happens when unemployment reaches 50-60-70%? How then, will you be able to justify not being a disgusting communist like myself?
