IMO, the director's cut removes a lot of cringe and replaces it with much, much better scenes of the characters' interactions.

2024-03-16 06:58:22 +0000 UTCI prefer the Director’s Cut… THIS version. Better script in terms of dialogue and character development. Less hokey, less pointless, and less cheesy. For instance, you got to avoid a few scenes with a robot, that…. well, that are horrible. (Be thankful that you missed the robot.) 🙂
