Things are a bit crazy right now.

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for those of you who put up with my shortcomings. Many of you have been very supportive and understanding, and I feel very fortunate.

Lately things have been a bit hectic in my life with many recent doctor appointments, preparing to transfer everything to a new computer, and an unwell husband (not life threatening, but still hard on both of us).

In the beginning I was responding to comments and messages as soon as I possibly could. I would constantly check my phone and even got in trouble at work for obsessively checking. My mental state was deteriorating from trying to keep up with responding to a hugely increased message load, as well as constantly seeing mean and negative comments. It takes a toll.

I stepped back from responding daily and halted any new DMs from Instagram and Twitter. Lately I have been checking messages much less frequently and only when I feel mentally prepared to do so. It seems I stepped back too far and have upset some people with slow response times. Please do not speak ill of anyone in regards to this. It is their choice, and and understandable one if they choose to no longer support.

I will continue to try to find the balance between keeping everyone happy and my own sanity. Thank you for your understanding.

Comments

Just do your thing. I'd back off of social media DMs except Patreon, back off YT comments except when you feel up to it. After all Patreon and Twitch subs are the real supporters especially if you presently have to have a day job too. And Patreon folks are probably (?) going to have small amounts of negativity unlike other platforms, or I would assume so. Am I wrong?

Ben Fisher

Sanity is far overrated. That said, there is good insanity and bad insanity. Driving yourself nuts trying to keep up with the demands of others is not good insanity. Believing there is a colony of invisible penguins living in the forest behind your house, that can be fun.

Stephen Marino

Health comes first, Bunny. I wish the best for you and your husband.

Dr Pavieck

Bunny, do your thing...don't worry about it.

Carlos Stevens

I am happy to hear that!

bunnytails

Thank you, Soma :)

bunnytails

Thank you!

bunnytails

I will do my best!

bunnytails

Channel my inner Spock!? I like that idea!

bunnytails

Thank you K! And yes, Soma is correct. Galaxy Quest reaction is on both Patreon and YouTube. Let me know if you need help finding them!

bunnytails

I will try!

bunnytails

Thank you Ian!

bunnytails

That's very kind, Lefty~

bunnytails

I appreciate you so much <3

bunnytails

I am the one who feels privileged that anyone would care to be here!

bunnytails

Thank you Sunny <3

bunnytails

Second, the girl you (corrrectly) find adorable is a young Terri Garr who would go on to be a legendary comedic actress. If you want more of her I HIGHLY recommend that when Halloween comes around… put a movie called “Young Frankenstein” on your short list of things to react to

Matthew Graves

Ok, first. Bunny, the look of pure joy on your face when the Trek theme song came on gave me “happy feels” for at least a week.

Matthew Graves

Galaxy Quest reaction went on BunnytailsREACTS YT last month though if you were looking to watch it ;-D

Soma

To try "keeping EVERYONE happy" might be the greatest danger to your sanity though :-( Rather, focusing on yourself and the simple majority seems healthier than trying every single individual's case especially as your channels expand. Personally I'm fine popping in weekly or monthly for your content... though I guess for some who depend on your content daily, perhaps you stepping back was like turning down their oxygen supply? *Laughs* X-D They should just expand their own lives and content consumption "eggs basket" in that case since it's really their problem not yours right? ;-) Strange how airlines always give the best life advice too: "In case of crisis, secure your own oxygen mask 1st before attempting to help others" :-)

Soma

Sorry to hear about the hectic run your life is on. I hope everything settles down soon. I'll be cheering you on from the lurker seats regardless of what you choose to get into.

Kilimaro

Persevere, beautiful girl

Matthew Graves

So, first of all, you are replying to these messages way too quick. :-) Second, after my parents divorced there was a time when I tried to live with my dad and his new wife. It was impossible. After I left to live with my mom, my stepmother would continue to be abusive and would constantly "push my buttons" and keep me from wanting to see my dad. It was impacting my life. So one day I decided that I would disconnect those buttons. She could push and push, but I would not feel them. The more she pushed, the more I just felt sorry for her. It was very "Spockian." So when it comes to interner types, do the same. They have no power over you that you do not first grant to them. Pull it back, disconnect those buttons, and let them push away. It is meaningless, and only serves to illustrate their shortcomings and not yours. You are a delight. Take care of your life and loved ones, and "don't destroy the one named Kirk (or Bunny.)"

John DiGiantomasso

First, I would say concentrate on family and regualr job until you feel like those are nailed down. I unsubscribed on patreon but I still follow, it's nothing against you personally, I've sent alot of money your way. In fact, I think your trek reactions are on point and very thoughtful. Do you want a small community you can create content for on the side? Or do you want to be a full time content creator? I think the latter is a business and is a full time job; the former is not going to be worth it in finacial terms only. I think you should concentrate on real priorities and not your content until those important things are on cruise control. I was disappointed Galaxy Quest was not made available on Patreon or YT.

K

Take care of you and your husband first. Don’t obsess about your channel and let the negative comments roll off like water off a ducks back. Pace yourself, I’m thankful for all you’re doing on YouTube.

Kim

constantly checking notifications does sound hectic for mental health, so it's understandably for the best to only check what we write at times you feel won't interrupt your work schedules or normal life enjoyment where it's healthier to live present in the moment with your irl experience unplugged from endless streams of messages I'd imagine (: I hadn't noticed any shortcomings, only impressive awesomeness. So thanks for letting us know, and hopefully anyone impatient can understand your situation now! Wishing the best for you Bunny! And get well soon Husbandotails!

genki ian

Shortcomings? I dunno about that. You are doing an incredible amount of work, and that combined with how hard you keep up with it is one of the reasons I respect you so much and support you on Patreon in the first place. You deserve to give yourself a break and tbh anyone getting upset about you not responding quickly is not being considerate of your time and feelings so they don't deserve your time anyway.

Lefty

Sorry to hear things have been rough. And that people continue to be shitty in the comments, will never understand why people need to behave like that. No matter what you’ll always have my sub on twitch, and I’ve always been happy with subscribing here as well.

Farler

No worries. It's YOUR channel. I'm just privileged to be able to sit in the roller coaster car as it travels, LOL. Live long and prosper, you guys

timothy w moyer

But you're already uploading perfectly everyday, so I just don't see why anyone would have anything valid to complain about (Though it IS the internet where of course anyone could find SOME imaginary excuse to complain about the perfect gamer girl heh❤️) Live long & prosper Bunny thanks always for all you do!

Super Sunny Sunblade

Thank you very much!

bunnytails

Wow Rez... When you list it all out like that it does sound kind of ridiculous! I might just be crazy for doing all of it.

bunnytails

And so are you!

bunnytails

Thanks very much, Greg!

bunnytails

Stress is definitely a killer. I'll try my best to manage it!

bunnytails

Thank you Cecil!

bunnytails

I will try, thank you!

bunnytails

True. It's most important that I am having a good time. If I'm not, people will definitely notice. I'll try to keep my chin up!

bunnytails

NO, NOT AT ALL! I love your content (mostly, don't care for Korra. It just doesn't have the heart that TLA has to me) I was referring to pestering you with the dm's.

Anthony Silva

Thank you Tom, you're absolutely right.

bunnytails

Thanks Shum. I hope so too!

bunnytails

Thank you

bunnytails

This is something I have thought about recently. In the sea of comments, the worst ones really do stand out the most. When people attack your character and assume things that are false about your beliefs, it's hard not to want to defend yourself and correct them. I am learning that those people already have their minds made up. I have started to delete those comments so I will not be tempted to respond.

bunnytails

Thank you Lee :)

bunnytails

It feels like it will take a long time to get there x.x

bunnytails

Thanks William. I do hope he can get better.

bunnytails

What do you mean, Tony? Are you also dissatisfied with me?

bunnytails

That's a good point, Markus.

bunnytails

Thank you Keith. I just feel bad when people have the mind that they are not getting their money's worth. It's hard to tell if they are expecting too much or if it is me who is the issue.

bunnytails

Thank you for the kind words :)

bunnytails

Thank you very much, Jack <3

bunnytails

It's human nature to focus on the negative. I heard it is a defense mechanism. I am working on not paying any heed to it, but it's difficult. I appreciate people like you :)

bunnytails

I appreciate it, Terry <3

bunnytails

Thanks, I will try to keep it in mind but the thought of taking a break and not making content stresses me out, too. :P

bunnytails

You’re a diamond. Keep yourself and your loved ones well. We’ll be here.

Trilogian

You’re an extremely hard worker, streaming 4-5 days a week, having daily uploads on the gaming YouTube + most days on the react YouTube, + the archives channel, + the Patreon content + the movie nights, and on top of that the editing while having a regular job too! I list all that out just to say that I don’t personally know another streamer that’s working as hard as you. Doing all that + trying to respond to everyone sounds exhausting + with everything going on at home. Not a single person in this thread is gonna be mad if you scale back where you need to scale back, and if someone is then they don’t deserve all the awesome content you give. Put yourself first! Your mental health should be your top priority!

Rezerek

Just agreeing what everyone else said, we know you are doing a lot and it means the world to us!

Greg Polander

You are appreciated ❤️

MAD Mitch

Hey Bunny sorry for all the stress and problems -you're still the sweetest girl on you tube! Dont try to be "The Savior" of the world -God's the only one that can really handle it! a verse in 1st Peter 5:7 "cast your care on the Lord for he careth for thee"- I've heard doctors say stress can increase the effects of disease more than the actual sickness- maybe just turn it all off for a while - watch a wholesome comedy -laugh for a while- don't try to carry too much! you can't solve everyones problems! just enjoy the beauty of Northern California-Lots of wholesome kidness & love to you!! ❤️

dave zink

The comments I see all have the same message: you are fabulous and take care of yourself. But also I hope husbando feels better and gets better soon. We are here for you.

Cecil Dedworth

Unless it's about promised paid content, creators don't owe a response to anyone to be fair. And even in the paid case, creators can cancel service if it's not worth it for them. Stay strong Bunny! (And sane ;)

SNdance

It's all good! You work it the way you want. That way, you're having a good time, which shows in your reactions and responses.

3dbadboy1

My friend, those aren't shortcoming - that's life. We cannot control the world, we can try to affect it. We can control how we react to it. And, most of all, having big things happen in our lives is never failure. YOU are AMAZING! Somehow you share little slices of life, and fill them with warmth, humor, wit, and more. You let the "inner Bunny" shine - real emotions, real thoughts, real enthusiasm, real passion for what you enjoy! And add a dollop of adorable and a (huge) dash of beautiful. And remember that taking care of yourself and your life is critical. Regular preventative maintenance & repair to keep equipment running - a bit annoying but we know it's critical! But us humans, we feel weird taking time and stepping back doing that with ourselves, with our lives. Definitely, no shortcomings or failures. You do what you can, let us know if we can help, and know you have a whole lot of people sending positive thoughts.

Tom R

You are loved and you are worthy of love. Take all the time you need.

Noah

Here's hoping things smooth out for you soon. It's a lot to balance and sometimes it will take longer than others, I hope those people can be more understanding.

Shumiry

Buns getting more popular :) imagine the chaos when you will have double the subs

peanut

Finally, PLANNING IS KEY. I see you do an enormous amount of gaming content as well, and so far (!) have had a relatively small site. As you go more into mainstream material (e.g. movie reactions) your base will grow (and could grow SUBSTANTIALLY -- e.g. I'm thinking 50K by Christmastime!). But now you're running what would really be TWO full-time sites, with double the workload, and GROWING! PLUS other content (e.g. photos?). PLUS job and home issues! You may just have to think of what the priorities of the SITE should be, and cut back on some parts, difficult as that may be. Rather than be gradually overwhelmed, and have it all just blow up. Keep well ...

Edward M. Crowe

Frankly, my comments tend to run on into TED talks in terms of length (not profundity or significance, to be clear), so I'm always happy when anyone responds to them. The fact that you respond is a very pleasant surprise and not something I would ever take for granted. Self-care is job one, so never feel bad for any steps you take to restore balance to your life. And I hope husbando is feeling better, if not now then soon.

Lee

Trying for some helpful suggestions: 1) repeatedly I have seen creators ignore nice comments, but always RESPOND to someone who really dumps on them. Such commenters are just looking for attention. Think psychologically! Don't reward them. 2) Would having some group chats with core supporters help? I'm just learning to use Discord, and have never used Twitch. We could give more detailed suggestions, AND have FUN: e.g., curious about your "new computer"?; how you do your editing?; etc. etc.. What is best platform? (Plus 3) is below).

Edward M. Crowe

William Terry

Stay true to yourself and remember that family and your own well-being ALWAYS comes first. And it is looking more and more like you won't have to stress over the burden that I have caused you in the very near future.

Anthony Silva

You are not stepping back too far when you are checking messages only when you feel mentally prepared to do so. Its the only right way. I am enjoying your videos and streams immensly. Take care of yourself and your family.

Markus Ruoff

Do what you need to do to stay healthy and sane. You and your family should be your highest priority. Ignore mean comments--some people just aren't nice, and they enjoy spreading their negativity. You can't keep everyone happy, and you will make yourself miserable if you try. Thanks for entertaining us with your wonderful reactions, and please stay healthy and happy so you don't burn out. Wishing you all the best! :-)

Keith Kotay

Oh my, I am glad you're trying to find a more balanced approach. Obviously that's the key. I am sorry for the abuse you are taking.I know it's a part of this but I don't know why. I hope you're hubby gets better fast and that your mental health and emotional health improve! As with anything, being a reactor is what you do, not who you are. Take care of Bunny and Mr. Bunny first!🐇🐰 I am aware of absolutely zero shortcomings on your part here or on YT. I think you're doing great!

ded cowbowee

You have nothing to apologize for. You provide a very light and entertaining distraction from the chaos of daily life, and I appreciate it tremendously, which is why I subscribe. As much as I enjoy watching you do what you do (I subbed for the Star Trek videos), I know it takes a shitload of work to produce that content, and I would feel horrible if you were trying to do it at the cost of your mental or physical health, or that of your loved ones. If you need to throttle back on your responses or your content to deal with real life, then PLEASE -- do it. As a fan of both you and Star Trek, getting to share Star Trek with you is a privilege for me that's supposed to be *FUN*. It should always make you smile and inspire you, as it has me. Do what you need to do; I will be here as a supporter. Please don't be so hard on yourself. Live Long, and prosper. 🖖

Jack

I'm always disappointed by how entitled and pointlessly cruel some people can be, especially online. I hope the positives outweigh the negatives for you overall. 🫶🏻

Derek H.

You don't have to apologize for things getting to much and getting overwhelmed, that's completely understandable. You always go above and beyond to provide us with daily entertainement the least that deserves is some understanding and support when things go wrong or get tough. If you you need some time, take it. You have "earned" it for everything you do for us. Respond when you are able or feel up to it, i know you always mean well but it's more than ok to not be at the ready at all times.

Terry Mcginnis

It's always good to take a break for yourself as much as I enjoy watching ya stream joining the monthly movie nights and watching ya content ya upload ya health and wellbeing is always top priority and if ya ever need to take a day off of stream to relax or do video content after work by all means I'm all for if you need time to look after yourself and family
