Weekly Status Report: 2025/12/21 to 12/27
Added 2025-12-28 17:11:26 +0000 UTCHello, everyone.
I did my State of the Channel presentation on Friday. Here are the highlights:
2025 for my channel had:
Highest view count for the channel in a single year (212.2K views)
Highest watch hour count for the channel in a single year (37.1K watch hours)
Highest subscriber gain for the channel in a single year (1,257 subscribers)
Highest content amount by runtime in a single year (5 hours, 6 minutes, 43 seconds)
Lowest number of episodes in a single year (only two)
This was the most money I've made in a year off content creation, over 3x what I made last year, which is good because 2025 was also the most money I've spent in a year on content creation
Goals for 2026:
7K subscribers
Four episodes
Three interviews
10 patrons in paid tiers (we are at nine not counting someone who is about to drop)
What to expect in 2026:
Many recurring assets (like Voice Actor Profiles and the channel banner) will see changed graphics
YouTube Shorts and TikToks will begin in February or March
No episodes will be over 90 minutes
March-ish: Blood Blockade Battlefront EVF
May 6: Project Rebrand
Summer: Project Bill
Halloween-ish: Project Red (it's not Yo-kai Watch, sorry π)
One more if we have time; if not this year, then next year, TBA
Project Rebrand, Project Bill, and Project Red already have plenty of work done on them as they were planned for 2025 if not earlier.
New research team members:
Abhi
Ashley Yume
Kate
There will be a special guest for Project Bill and an unannounced project in 2027.
I will be reviewing the current Patreon tiers and seeing what I can add and change. Nobody will be losing anything.
I am also ending my regular anime convention appearances in 2026. I originally planned to go to Anime Expo in Los Angeles, but due to costs and logistical reasons on my end, I can't commit to going. The only convention I am planning to attend in 2026 is TORG Gaming Expo in Columbus, OH, on November 14th and 15th. I may go to a one-day con as a spur-of-the-moment thing, but I have no immediate plans to attend any anime conventions next year.
After the State of the Channel meeting, I held a meeting with my research team to figure out who wanted to do what for 2026 and 2027. It was quite lively as most of what we discussed was 2027 admittedly, since almost every project in 2026 was planned for 2025 until Kinnikuman took too long.
As for other happening this past week... I ripped a bunch of Blu-rays, got my Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond Blu-ray, and watched and took notes on stuff for Project Rebrand.
I said I was going to take it easy this past week and absolutely didn't. This week I'll take it easy... at least somewhat.
Friday's Patreon post will be the Kinnikuman EVF deleted scenes video for Ink-vaders and up. It's already both uploaded and scheduled. Look forward to it!
One last thing: Shira Z. Carmel will be reviewing my interview with her tonight or tomorrow. She is busy right now with the holiday season. Once I get her approval, I'll make the interview available here. π
Weekly Bonus:
Blu-ray rip folder
