January Thank you and Updates

Okay, so as most of you already are aware, at least I think I've made it clear on and off patreon that shortly after my very 'triumphant' declaration of a schedule, and how well I was doing in terms of work, I got hit with a nasty sinus infection that had me laid up for the first two weeks of January in order to fully get rid of it. It stalled me in the middle of the CHERUB series, and basically put a hold on all my writing and any commissions I had sitting in my queue. Naturally I was, and am still frustrated over losing the valuable time. It also killed any shot at squeezing in a January pin-up poll if I wanted to actually finish my CHERUB series before the new episode of Helluva Boss dropped. Of course, as it turned out, CHERUB didn't show up in episode three despite the animatic being cited as a clip from episode three...so...yeah, It turns out I could have waited.

In terms of commissions, I am currently not open for any. Zippo, Nada. Were in hard freeze territory now. The reason? I want to clear out my current queue before instituting a new rotation system so that I can actually get a chance to offer commissions to everyone. I'm still refining exactly how that will work in terms of just how many slots, and how it will be organized, but in terms of the future, we'll be looking at rotation periods. What that basically means is that 'commissions' will have offer periods. One strictly for Patreons, one for the public, and then either a 'self recovery' period, or I'll rotate it between the first two and tag one art for myself as a slot as well. There will of course, also be a cool down period for specific 'commissioners', in order to make sure everyone gets a shot at getting commissions in before someone who already got one can get another. I'll hopefully have a more refined update on that later in the week, but for now consider that a preview of how that's going to work.

Next is writing. I'm still waiting on my AC smut fic to get a final look over by one of my backers who was helping with edits and britishisims. I'm also about ten pages in on the next Val chapter, something I'll hopefully get a lot more of done this week.

Lastly...health. Despite being largely over the sinus infection, I do still have a nasty cough. I have been covid tested however, and I am clean, so thankfully it's not that. I'm going to be looking into going to an ENT to follow up as to why I get so many sinus infections, as well as a sleep clinic to get an idea as to why my sleep is so terrible without some sort of tranquilzer in the mix. Also....my joints are starting to act up a bit more as of late, leading to a longer cool down time between drawing days. That said, I'm really hoping I'm on an upswing rather than just a brief surge before yet another crash. That said, I'm not going to jinx myself with any sort of time tables. I think I've learned my lesson by now that it's an...unwise move.
