This is one of those shows where I feel like a S2 would be great. At the end of this season, we saw them learning how to communicate their feelings so it would've been nice to see their relationship develop more in a S2

2025-07-11 21:49:39 +0000 UTCI finally watched the finale for this series. For whatever reason, these characters never inspired me. I don’t hate them but I didn’t connect with them. By not communicating with each other, I think they didn’t communicate with us either. The dynamic was frustrating and often felt distant.

2025-05-28 12:47:23 +0000 UTCI think the main reason I couldn’t connect with this show is that, although the relationship between the main characters is really well portrayed, I couldn’t sympathize with either of them XD. I mean, neither Sagasaki nor Yoh have qualities that made me like them as individuals...on the contrary, they’re the kind of people I’d probably dislike in real life XD. They are gorgeous of course, but I'm not that shallow haah

2025-05-28 02:44:27 +0000 UTCThis is one of the most Japanese of all the Japanese BLs I’ve seen XD. The way they communicate is such a cultural thing, it’s a bit hard for us to fully grasp. I love Japanese people and their overly indirect way of saying things, and it stresses me out at the same time hahaha. Fabi, I think your take on the show was spot on, I agree with everything. Even though it’s a well-acted and well-written show, it’s not my cup of tea. The dynamic highlighted here doesn’t make me root for them; it just stresses me out or wears me down. Not that I have anything against people doing this in their private lives (I’ve experience in a relationship of this kind, at some point of my life), but it’s just not something I personally enjoy watching in fiction. The friend was the best part of the show, in my opinion...I loved all her scenes.
