wow behavioural psychologist 😲 The way you analysed this reminds me of Doctor Elliot from Youtube (not sure if you've seen him before). But he reacts to shows and analyses them from a psychiatrist point of view. Super interesting!!

2025-08-12 15:23:02 +0000 UTCFabi, I’m so glad you’re enjoying My Beautiful Man! It is one of my personal favourites due to how intricate and complex every piece of every scene is. The director and script writers did a fantastic job of translating the books into a show, but there are definitely a lot of answers in the books that the show didn’t have time to cover. This may sound crazy to other people lol but as a behavioural psychologist this show really interested me… to the point that I’ve actually written a full analysis of this series, books and shows… it started out just being bullet points and now I’m on page 51 with headings and subheadings and a table of contents lol As an aside, from my findings, Hira’s connection to Kiyoi exhibits pervasive patterns of dependent and obsessive personality traits combined with disorganised/anxious-preoccupied attachment behaviours. He likely developed these characteristics because of early social experiences (bullying, isolation, ostracism) and self-perpetuating coping mechanisms, shaped by his low self esteem and stuttering.

2025-08-11 12:00:53 +0000 UTCOf all the creepy comparisons Hira makes when describing his adoration of Kiyoi, him comparing himself to a priest or nun devoting himself to his GOD is my absolute favorite. It is unhinged and nuts, yet simple and sincere 🛐 And it's an important comparison to keep in mind when it comes to future confrontations!
