Alright everyone, buckle up because I'm about to give you the full breakdown of what might be the most insane cape fight in Brockton Bay’s history. Or maybe even in the ENTIRE history of cape fights. And yes, I know that's a bold claim, but after you read and see this you'll understand why.

Yesterday, April 16th, the ABB launched a coordinated all-out assault on Brockton Bay. And I mean ALL-OUT. This wasn't some small gang skirmish or a territory dispute. This was WAR.

THE INITIAL ATTACK:

It started with simultaneous explosions across multiple districts. Oni Lee deployed suicide bomber clones throughout downtown, the Docks, and near the Boardwalk. The PRT estimates at least fifteen separate blast sites in the first ten minutes alone. This was designed to create maximum chaos and confusion and regrettable dozen of people have gotten caught in this.

But the bombs were just the opening move. The ABB rolled out with EVERYTHING. And here's the thing that shocked everyone - they had WAY more capes than anyone knew about. I'm talking dozens of unknown capes that apparently Lung had been stockpiling. Most were relatively weak, street-level threats, but when you've got that many bodies throwing powers around it doesn't matter.

Doesn’t help that they also had a lot of gang members with them.

The gangs immediately went to war with each other. The Empire saw this as an opportunity and started pushing into ABB territory. What was left of the Merchants tried to defend their turf in the Docks and Trainyard - shoutout to Trainwreck and Mush for actually holding a city block together, that was legitimately impressive. And into this absolute clusterfuck of a situation, we had heroes scrambling to respond at first.

THE HERO RESPONSE:

The entirety of the PRT established defensive lines to prevent the fighting from spreading into residential areas. New Wave split up across multiple fronts - Lady Photon and Brandish were engaging ABB capes in one district, Glory Girl was doing aerial transport of captured villains to PRT containment, Mandalay and the Claw Patrol were working underground (more on this later), and even Mouse Protector showed up to help. Mirko was somewhere in merchant territory fighting. And despite the initial confusion they did an amazingly fast work.

But while all this was happening, here's what REALLY mattered:

LUNG WAS RAMPING UP.

According to my sources, Lung deliberately stayed out of the initial fighting. He was in a building in ABB territory using Oni Lee to trigger his power. Just sitting there, fighting him over and over, letting his transformation build up BEFORE entering the battlefield.

This is critical to understand. Lung is strong from the beginning and he grows stronger as he fights. But this time? He was giving himself a head start. Pre-loading his power like you'd charge up a special attack in a video game.

When he finally emerged, he was already NINE FEET TALL and started to be covered in metallic scales and had flames over his body.

And he was heading straight for the PRT defensive line at full sprint. Which would have inevitably destroyed and caused a lot of casualties. No means to offend the Protectorate but they sadly aren't a match of Lung at that size.

ENTER TRUE MIGHT:

This is where our hero comes in. True Might had been positioned at a strategic location ( thank you Oracle for the intel) waiting for Lung to make his move. The moment Lung started his charge toward the PRT line, True Might intercepted him.

And by intercepted, I mean he SPRINTED at top speed and clotheslined a nine-foot giant with a punch to the jaw.

Look at that. LOOK AT IT. Lung gets hit so hard he literally goes airborne and craters into the pavement. That's not normal Brute strength.

But True Might didn't stop there. He GRABBED Lung by the head with both hands and just... started JUMPING. Building to building. Rooftop to rooftop. Carrying a growing, transforming, increasingly angry dragon OUT OF THE CITY.

You can see the path he took. With Oracle’s help they planned this route specifically to minimize collateral damage - empty buildings, reinforced structures that could handle the impact stress, clear evacuation paths. Every jump was calculated to get Lung away from civilians as fast as possible.

And Lung was NOT cooperating. He's growing the entire time, thrashing, breathing fire, trying to tear into True Might's arms with increasingly large claws. By the time they're halfway to the city limits, Lung is already twelve feet tall and sprouting wing nubs.

True Might's response? He kept shouting something which sadly couldn’t hear.

But I love this man.

THE MOUNTAIN FIGHT:

They reached the outskirts and True Might used what I can only describe as a wrestling finishing move. He started SPINNING while holding Lung's head, building momentum, and then released him with another of his signature moves "Spinning Hammer of Justice."

Lung went sailing through the air like a very angry, very flaming missile and crashed into the mountainside.

And this is where things got REALLY crazy.

Because when the dust cleared, Lung wasn't twelve feet tall anymore. He wasn't fifteen feet. He wasn't even twenty feet.

He was THIRTY FEET of pure dragon. Four arms. Four massive bat-like wings. His scales had gone from metallic silver to almost black with veins of lava running through them. His head was completely inhuman - this weird X-shaped maw full of teeth pointing in every direction. Steam was rising off his body in waves.

For reference we knew Lung could grow a lot to fight other capes but never to this extent, he was practically Leviathan size! And that just confirm some rumors from the past, that he was the one who ACTUALLY fought Leviathan to a short stalemate back in 1999, can you believe it?

And True Might? He pumped his fists together challenging him without any doubt.

THE ACTUAL FIGHT:

I'm going to try to break this down chronologically but honestly the whole thing was so fast and so chaotic that even the news helicopters had trouble keeping up.

True Might opened with another Justice Punch aimed at Lung's incoming strike. Their fists collided and Lung's arm EXPLODED. Just completely disintegrated into fragments of scales and flesh. The shockwave from that collision was visible on camera - it tore up the ground around them in a perfect circle.

Of course Lung regenerated it in seconds because he's Lung, but still. TRUE MIGHT PUNCHED HIS ARM OFF. That strength is just crazy to think about.

Lung tried to fly and blast True Might with a massive fire breath attack. The kind of attack that turns solid stone into molten lava. The kind of attack that would vaporize a normal person before they even registered what was happening.

True Might just... stood there. Took it. Didn't even try to dodge.

When the fire cleared, True Might was standing in a circle of molten slag, ankle-deep in what used to be solid rock. He was covered in ash and soot. And then he FLEXED and the ash just FELL OFF like he was shedding a layer of skin.

His costume was completely undamaged. Not even singed.

Lung's response was to get even MORE angry and attack harder, which honestly just made things worse for him.

True Might went on the offensive. He CHARGED at Lung and punched out his leg at the knee. The limb buckled and Lung crashed down on one side. Before the dragon could recover, True Might started CLIMBING UP HIS BACK.

This is my favorite part. True Might is literally running up Lung's spine while the dragon is thrashing, trying to grab him with four different arms, breathing fire everywhere, whipping his tail around. And True Might is just LAUGHING and shouting about justice the entire time. (Don’t know what he was truly saying but its the safest thing to assume with him)

He reached Lung's neck and wrapped both arms around it in a chokehold. Then he JUMPED while still holding on, using Lung's own weight against him. The entire thirty-foot dragon got yanked forward by his neck and body-slammed into the mountain.

The impact created another crater. Dust and debris everywhere. And you'd think that would be the end, right?

NOPE.

Lung got back up. Still fighting. Still growing technically, though he'd seemed to hit his size cap.

So True Might used another of his signature moves. "Justice Wave."

THE JUSTICE WAVES:

True Might slammed his hands into the ground and created a ripple effect - like an artificial earthquake but focused and controlled. Which destabilizes Lung’s footing.

Then True Might moved to a different angle and did it again. And again. And AGAIN. Each wave hit Lung from a different direction, and each one caused parts of his massive body to sink into the displaced earth.

Here's the brilliant part - Lung's own heat was working against him. His body temperature was so high that he was melting the ground around him into slag. When the slag cooled, it hardened like cement, trapping him further. Every time he tried to use his fire to break free, he just made more molten rock that would trap him when it solidified.

After about seven or eight Justice Waves, Lung was buried up to his chest. Only two of his four arms were free, and his neck and head were still mobile, but he was effectively STUCK.

THE FINISH:

But True Might wasn't done. He ran backward, creating distance, and then SPRINTED at full speed back toward Lung. At the peak of his approach, he LAUNCHED himself into the air - and I mean HIGH. The news helicopter footage shows him reaching at least 200 feet altitude.

Then he came down like a meteor, feet-first, aimed directly at where Lung's neck connected to his torso.

You can see on the slowed-down footage that the scales SHATTERED on impact. True Might's feet went DEEP into Lung's body. And then there was this weird moment where parts of Lung's dragon form just... EXPLODED outward. Like internal detonations.

I've watched this clip about fifty times and I'm pretty sure True Might caused Lung's own superheated body to create pressure explosions from the inside. The force of the impact created shockwaves through Lung's internal structure and they had nowhere to go but OUT.

Lung let out one final roar - you could hear it across the entire valley - and then just COLLAPSED. Completely unconscious.

THE AFTERMATH:

And here's where it gets even wilder. Lung's transformation started REVERSING. His dragon form literally fell apart, scales shedding and cracking away in huge chunks. Thirty feet became twenty, became fifteen, became ten, became human-sized.

When all the scales and dragon parts fell away, there was just... Lung. Human Lung. Naked, unconscious, and MISSING HIS ARMS AND LEGS.

Apparently the damage True Might inflicted during the fight translated directly to Lung's human form when he was forced to revert. The regeneration will probably bring them back eventually, but for now? Lung is a limbless crime lord in PRT custody.

And True Might? Completely uninjured. Not tired. Not even breathing hard. He just struck a pose with the sun dramatically positioned behind him and declared:

The PRT arrived shortly after to collect Lung. They used enough containment foam to build a small house. Dragon's power suppression collar. A reinforced transport cage. They were NOT taking chances.

THE BIGGER PICTURE:

While True Might was dragon-slaying, other operations were happening:

Armsmaster and the Claw Patrol were in an underground mission fighting off Coil AND they even captured Coil himself. Yes, THAT Coil.
New Wave, raided multiple ABB safe houses and rescued HUNDREDS of trafficking victims.
The Empire tried to capitalize on the chaos but got pushed back by the combined hero response.
The independent heroes contained the widespread fighting and minimized civilian casualties.

By the end of the day: ABB leadership captured or scattered. Lung in custody. Oni Lee fled. Coil captured. The Empire pushed back. Hundreds of innocents rescued.

The biggest gang war since Marquis vs the Teeth, and the HEROES WON.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

True Might just fought a thirty-foot dragon - a dragon that was BIGGER and arguably STRONGER than the version that fought Leviathan - and he won without taking any damage. Without even getting TIRED.

I don't know what else to say. This man can fight an Endbringer there is no doubt about it, only one who could was El Chapulin.

We kinda knew this already but now this is solidified without any shred of doubt that Brockton Bay has a guardian. A real one. I already bought some merch but now I will be collecting all his merch.

Okay I know I shouldn’t be this hyped up and be more cool about this but HOLY CRAP BAGRAT THAT SUMMARY WAS AMAZING!!!

Also I may have had a front-row digital seat to most of this and LET ME TELL YOU watching it happen in real-time was INSANE.

True Might is literally the most protagonist that ever protagonisted and I am HERE FOR IT.

Also shoutout to everyone who fought yesterday. Y'all are actual heroes. Like, not even joking. You saved so many lives.

I was at the PRT building monitoring the situation with console support since things were hectic. When we got the alert that Lung was charging, I won't lie I was worried for the Protectorate members on the Scene

Our job as Wards was coordinating with field operatives the evacuations and supporting the from the backline.

The professionalism and heroism displayed by all the independent heroes yesterday was incredible.

Console duty during a citywide gang war is simultaneously the most boring and most terrifying experience ever.

Boring because you're just watching screens.

Terrifying because you're watching your city literally explode in multiple places and there's nothing you can do but trust that the heroes in the field succeed with everything stacked against them.

True Might punching off Lung's arm was when I realized we had nothing to worry about. Like, that's not normal. That's not something that just HAPPENS in cape fights.

Anyways, can we talk about how True Might's COSTUME survived all of that without damage?

Dragon fire hot enough to turn rock into lava? No problem. Physical attacks from a thirty-foot monster? Not a scratch. Being literally engulfed in flames multiple times? The costume just sheds the ash off when he flexes.

What is that thing MADE of? I need answers! Is it Tinkertech? Is it a secondary power? Is True Might justice so powerful that it has transcended beyond our comprehension? Oh who am I kidding, it's JUSTICE the answer is always JUSTICE.

@JusticeFan#07 - You know, that's actually a really good question. I've been wondering about the costume too. It's clearly not normal fabric since it survived a full blast from Purity because normal fabric would have been atomized for the first time.

My theory? Either:

It's made from Tinkertech (Babyhead maybe?)
It's part of his power after all he is a Brute
Or his power actually comes from the costume which made s True Might indestructible

But those are wild guesses since I don't want to be taken as a conspirator

@White Fairy - You're absolutely right about the psychological impact. I've been hearing through my sources that villain activity has dropped to almost ZERO since yesterday.

The Empire pulled back to their core territory and are being unusually quiet. The Merchants are completely scattered. And obviously the ABB is done.

True Might didn't just win a fight - he sent a MESSAGE. "This city is protected."

Also @Justice_Data_Miner - those compilations are INCREDIBLE. You've got serious editing skills! The meteor drop from all angles gave me chills!

Real talk: if an Endbringer shows up to Brockton Bay, they're going to see True Might and decide to attack literally anywhere else.

He just proved he can fight a Lung that was BIGGER than the version that fought Leviathan. And he won EASILY. No damage.

Brockton Bay might legitimately be the safest city in America now.

I've been following True Might since his FIRST appearance and every single time I think "okay, THIS is his limit" he does something even more insane.

Hookwolf? Demolished. Multiple Empire capes? Handled without breaking a sweat. Stormfront? StormFLAT. LUNG AT LEVIATHAN SIZE? One-sided beatdown.

What's next? Is he going to punch out Behemoth? Because at this point I genuinely wouldn't be surprised.

I just want to add - during ALL of this chaos, True Might was still making sure civilians got to safety. We could hear him over the comms yelling at people to get indoors.

Even while carrying a transforming dragon. Even while being attacked. He never stopped being a HERO.

That's what matters most.

@Dawgsmiles - I think you're onto something. The Triumvirate comparison is apt, but True Might has something they don't: he's ACCESSIBLE.

Alexandria is a symbol but she's distant. Legend is inspiring but he's always dealing with national threats. Eidolon is powerful but not exactly relatable; some even call him cranky, unapproachable.

True Might? He patrols the streets. He talks to civilians. He POSES for photos with you. Some consider him like a hero you can befriend

Oh PLEASE. Mirko has SPEED. She could have dodged the fire easily and used hit-and-run tactics to wear Lung down. That's called BEING SMART unlike just face-tanking everything because you happen to be indestructible.

True Might has ONE advantage: he can't be hurt. Mirko has ACTUAL SKILL. There's a difference between being a brick wall and being a talented fighter.

Plus let's be real - Mirko is WAY cooler. The sexyness, the attitude, the confidence. True Might is just a blonde guy in tights.

Mirko has saved MORE people because she's EFFICIENT. She doesn't stop to give speeches to unconscious villains. She MOVES, she ACTS, she WINS.

Plus her combat style is WAY more technical. True Might just punches hard. Mirko uses MARTIAL ARTS, ACROBATICS, and PRECISION STRIKES.

ANY brute can punch. Not everyone can do what Mirko does.

Both heroes contributed yesterday. True Might handled the biggest immediate threat. Mirko handled smaller but equally important threats across the city. They BOTH did heroic work.

Can we please get back to discussing the actual events instead of... whatever this is?

I issued a general and explicit warning at the beginning of this thread about keeping discussions civil. Apparently, that warning was ignored by multiple users who decided that personal attacks, death threats, and aggressive harassment were appropriate responses to disagreements about cape preferences.

You are all supposed to be ADULTS. This is a discussion forum, not a playground.

Multiple users from BOTH the Justice Fan club and BunBun Patrol have been banned or infracted. Some bans are temporary. Some may become permanent if this behavior continues.

I will repeat the important rules of this forum once more to be absolutely clear:

Death threats = instant ban
Harassment = ban
Doxxing threats = instant ban
Continued thread derailment after warning = infraction leading to ban

This thread is about discussing a major cape fight that occurred in Brockton Bay. If you cannot discuss this topic without attacking other users, you need to step away from your keyboard.

Any further violations will result in harsher penalties.

Futaba leaned back in her chair, chewing the inside of her cheek as she rubbed her eyes. There were plenty of reasons to be in celebration mode—the ABB was done for, Lung was captured, the Empire was crippled, the city was still standing—but there were a couple of significant hangups nagging at her.

There was still a lot to unpack, especially regarding how Lung had grown so fast. From everything she knew about his power, reaching Leviathan size should have taken him at least an hour of continuous fighting, not just minutes. The accelerated growth was concerning and raised questions she didn't have answers to yet.

But at least Daniel had beaten him into the ground and prevented potentially thousands of deaths. She'd never doubted him, obviously, but it was still incredibly cool and amazing to watch from so many different camera angles. Though she had to admit, Bagrat was still frustratingly slippery about where he got his sources from.

That guy had access to footage she couldn't track.

What was truly shocking was Coil being captured. At first, she'd wanted to be happy that Armsmaster had gone above and beyond expectations with the Claw Patrol, but she knew Coil never acted without a back up.

What was his angle? What was she missing?

At least he'd kept his word and driven off all the foreign gangs attempting to establish footholds in the city, even if that had increased the overall body count. Well, only bad people died instead of innocent civilians, but still. The thought left a bitter taste in her mouth but it was a necessary evil given the circumstances.

Coil was currently being processed, yet his identity hadn't been exposed. Not even her PRT contacts knew who he really was—Thomas Calvert remained safely hidden behind the mask. All they knew was that Coil was sitting in their holding cells.

It was extremely sus.

Then her phone rang, interrupting her thoughts. She glanced at the caller ID before answering.

"Job done, boss." The voice dripped with sarcasm.

"Come on, Tats," Futaba replied, rolling her eyes even though the other girl couldn't see it. "It was a simple job, and don't be so pissy about it. We're all on the same side here. Better yet, you should be happy we got your old boss!"

"What do you need now?" Lisa's tone was clipped, impatient.

"Stay idle for now. I'll transfer your payment so you can distribute it with your team."

The call ended abruptly.

Lisa should be happier about the whole situation, but well, all Lisas were the same—overconfident and arrogant. Futaba sighed. Oh well, she'd grow out of that teenager phase eventually.

Probably. Maybe.

Then she got a notification on her secure messaging app. It was from Nightline confirming they'd dropped off the "stuff," which meant they'd successfully secured the ABB's liquid assets and already taken their cut.

Cool beans.

Futaba tapped her fingers against her desk, thinking. So what should she do with Bane and Nightline now? They'd proven themselves valuable assets, but keeping them on retainer indefinitely wasn't sustainable or effective. S

he rubbed her chin, considering various options.

But then another message came through from Nightline.

‘We want to talk with True Might’

Futaba's eyebrows shot up.

Why would they want that? Bane and Nightline requesting a face-to-face with Daniel was... unexpected.

Was this a fan request? A trap? Did they want to negotiate something? Or was there something else going on entirely?

She'd have to think carefully about this one before responding. Daniel was powerful, nearly invincible, but that didn't mean she should just throw him into every situation without proper vetting. She cared for him well after all.

After a while she responded.

‘Reason?’

Now she'd wait and see what they said. In the meantime, she pulled up the PHO forums once more and…

And another massacre the Nazis were rabid for being overshadowed by True Might.

And why are so many comments saying bleached?

Ugh, normies…

Either way she was going to hire Justice_Data_Miner to help her to pump out more content for Daniel’s ever growing social media.

My kids are OBSESSED with True Might so ofcourse had to buy so much for them, really thank you La Dona Word for making the products cheaper than the rest.

The merchandising for True Might has been INSANE. I can't go to ANY store without my kids spotting something True Might related.

But honestly? I don't mind. He's a genuinely good role model. The message on most of the products is about helping others, being brave, and standing up for what's right.

Way better than some of the other options out there.

Plus seeing their faces light up when they get new True Might stuff is worth it!

Speaking as someone who collects cape merchandise professionally (yes it's a thing, yes I make money doing it):

The True Might merchandise line has been the fastest-growing cape merch collection in YEARS. Maybe ever.

For comparison: Alexandria merchandise took 2 weeks to sell out when she first started. Legend took a single week. Even Eidolon merchandise sits on shelves sometimes.

True Might is a merchandising PHENOMENON. I've got vendors calling ME asking if I have connections to get more stock.
