Your comment on how it would be "very wrong" to bring him on Tali's loyalty mission, while coming from a logical thought process is actually incorrect in practice. You get a lot of altered and unique dialogue and actually have to pass a paragon or renegade check to even bring him on board the admiralty ship. It's very interesting and I actually recommend you go back at some point to experience it.
