New Year's is a BIG DEAL in Japan. It's the same Lunar New Year they celebrate in China (2025 Year of the Snake), but when Japan adopted the Western calendar, they moved the new year to Jan 1. Cypress calls it Skyfire, and the Japanese call it hanabi "flowerfire". Considering that, let me try this for Japanese readers. モーモー新年あけましておめでとうございます。（moumou shinnen akemashite omedetou gozaimasu "Congratulations on the beginning of a new "moo" year"...kinda sorta; don't have a handy pun in Japanese.) サイプレスのとなりに花火をみたいと思います。（Saipuresu no tonari ni hanabi wo mitai to omoimasu. "I think I want to watch fireworks next to Cypress")
