Hey guys! Just another update on the digital sculpt of the moo man! I've gone over a lot of different areas (basically the whole body) to refine the anatomy. Specifically in the face though, I had to alter the angle of the orbital areas of the face, sort of "flattening" it a bit, like you might see on a dog. The reason being that when I added the details to the eyes, it made him look cross-eyed while looking straight ahead lol. It's funny, because my drawings of him actually have that implemented, but for some reason I didn't clue in on the sculpture until I was working on that area. Either way, it looks a lot more like Cypress now 😂
The hair was interesting dilemma. I think part of it was due to not knowing how to actually tackle it in the app, but the other part was from deciding if I wanted to stylize it, or go more realistic, or maybe even statuesque. In the end, I went with what was closest to my drawing style and chose to stylize it a bit. Next was the technical aspect. I looked around on Youtube for some tutorials, but none of them were really showing what I was looking for, until I came across this tutorial here on how to do fur clumps:

It was exactly what I was looking for, and the technical side to it wasn't too complicated! The only thing was that by the nature of the technique it ended up taking quite a bit of time lol. It's fine though, because in the end, having control over every clump of hair allowed me to be very deliberate in how they were placed, while also focussing on the silhouette. 👍
Also, since I'm sharing tutorials, these were the first two I'd watched, to be able to even navigate the app in the first place. Both by Dave Reed:

They basically go over the process, showing a bit of how the interface works in a hands on manner, and also how to organize everything throughout the process. They were pretty easy to understand, and for a beginner like myself, pretty essential for getting through the first stage of working on this. 😆
I think I'll leave it there though! I've included a bunch of screenshots of different angles this time, as well as a much longer turntable animation, with many more angles. 🐮✨
Thanks again and please enjoy! 😊🙏
