Added 2025-07-20 16:29:17 +0000 UTCHey guys! Just a quick painted piece for my buddy DerpyDrake, of his character Theoren! It was meant to be more of just a flat sketch, but after drawing the pose, I felt like it needed to be painted (even if just roughly so π). But yeah, thanks again! π

When Iβm jumping right into painting, like with this one, I like to add the full value range to the piece early on, (darkest darks and lightest lights) that way everything is balanced. Also it helps to save time, because I can just use them as colour swatches for colour picking instead of going to the colour picker constantly π

I'm figuring out rendering myself right now but I usually save highlights for the end. Is it just to help you plan your lighting for the rest of the piece?
