Redcaps Redesigned (WIP)
Added 2022-02-15 22:32:03 +0000 UTCBetween commissions, I've been inking and coloring old sketches to help get used to Clip Studio Paint. My most recent are these colored version of a bunch of concepts for Redcaps, something I've been meaning to get to for a while. For the most part I'm just playing around with different brushes and textures to achieve something more detailed than my usual simpler style. I like the colors overall, though looking at the textures now I can see that they are a bit too "tiled" for my taste.
I said before I like the last two designs the best, but lately I've started to lean towards the middle one the most. I like the simplicity of its design and I'm digging how its iron feet are turning out. Might make a new version of it someday.

I really like the middle and last one on the right the best. The hat really takes on a more sinister part of the creature's appearance.
