There are many secret realms, big and small, throughout the Liyue region. This is no secret. However, most of these realms have already been explored by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, leaving only a few lesser-known ones occupied by monsters and of little value.
Despite this, adventurers are still eager to explore these realms. But Lu Qianzhi isn’t like most adventurers who seek fame and fortune. She ventures into ancient domains to uncover traces of history and fill in the gaps in historical records.
This is her work as a historian.
Many adventurers value her for her great strength and lack of interest in wealth, and they compete to befriend her. Whenever a new domain is discovered, they immediately inform Lu Qianzhi to explore together.
As a result, Lu Qianzhi often embarks on expeditions. But the domains discovered by adventurers are mostly small, and the exploration usually takes only a few hours, with most of the time spent traveling.
Thus, Lu Qianzhi typically returns within one to three days whenever she sets out.
"But it’s already the fourth day!" From yesterday onward, Lu Shiyuan had been feeling uneasy, a hollow sensation in his heart as though he was about to lose something. His martial training was unfocused, and he even had trouble sleeping.
“Could Qianzhi have run into some danger?” As soon as this thought crossed Lu Shiyuan’s mind, he couldn’t suppress it any longer. He hurriedly dressed and headed out, making his way to the Adventurers’ Guild.
“Ad Astra—”
“Sorry to interrupt you, but I have an urgent request to submit,” Lu Shiyuan quickly said to Katheryne, the guild’s receptionist.
Though interrupted, Katheryne maintained her professional smile and asked, “What kind of commission would you like to issue?”
“Finding someone! My sister is likely missing. Her last known location? Four days ago, she mentioned going on an expedition to a domain near Cuijue Slope, but I’m not sure which one exactly.”
“Her age? Sixteen.”
“Appearance? Very cute, with amber-colored eyes, a single ponytail, and a stone bell tied to her hair ribbon. She wears a black training outfit with red patterns—very easy to recognize.”
“Disappearance time? She’s been exploring this domain for longer than usual. If we count from the moment she should’ve returned, it’s been at least twelve hours.”
Following Katheryne’s questions, Lu Shiyuan relayed every detail he knew, then gravely reminded her, “Miss Katheryne, my sister, Lu Qianzhi, could be in life-threatening danger at any moment. Please arrange for a full-scale search as soon as possible."
"Don’t worry, I’ll pay the highest fee for the commission. The reward? I’ll offer 100,000—no, 200,000 Mora. As long as someone brings her back, money is not an issue.”
Seeing the young man’s bloodshot eyes and the deep worry in them, Katheryne didn’t delay a moment. “Don’t worry, Mr. Lu. I’ll arrange it as quickly as possible.”
“Thank you.” Lu Shiyuan nodded, but the anxiety in his eyes didn’t diminish. He thought to himself, "This won’t do. Putting all my hopes on the Adventurers’ Guild isn’t enough. I need to report this to the Ministry of Civil Affairs as well."
With that in mind, he turned and rushed toward the ministry.
Ten minutes later, he walked out of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, his head hanging low in frustration. “They won’t file a report unless she’s been missing for 24 hours…”
“What a joke. Do they expect me to wait another twelve hours? By then, it could be too late!” The more Lu Shiyuan thought about it, the angrier he became, his anxiety growing. His sister’s life couldn’t be left in the hands of others.
Perhaps Qianzhi was fine and his worry was unnecessary, but he couldn’t take that risk. If he lost the only family he had in this world…
“No. I need to go myself,” Lu Shiyuan muttered. “But I can’t just wander around Cuijue Slope aimlessly. It’s too big. How long would it take me to find her?"
"Is there a way I can pinpoint her location quickly and accurately?”
Frowning deeply, Lu Shiyuan pondered for a moment before his eyes suddenly lit up. He hurried to the harbor, where he spotted a woman he was looking for.
Her name was Qi Ming, a somewhat well-known fortune teller in Liyue Harbor.
In Teyvat, fortune-tellers weren’t frauds; they could truly peer into fate and help people avoid calamities. Perhaps Qi Ming could divine his sister’s location.
However, Lu Shiyuan’s hopes were dashed by her response.
“It won’t work,” Qi Ming said, shaking her head apologetically as she looked at the young man before her.
“I see… I’ll have to think of something else,” Lu Shiyuan sighed, preparing to leave.
“Wait.” Qi Ming, moved by a pang of sympathy, hesitated for a moment before calling him back.
“What is it? You know I’m in a hurry,” Lu Shiyuan frowned slightly.
“Mr. Lu, the fact that I can’t divine your sister’s location is due to my own lack of skill, not because fortune-telling doesn’t work,” Qi Ming explained. “Recently, a famous astrologer arrived in Liyue Harbor, and her abilities far surpass mine.”
“Really?! Where is she?” Lu Shiyuan’s eyes lit up as he excitedly grabbed Qi Ming’s hand. “Please, tell me where she is.”
Qi Ming glanced at his hand holding hers, then back at his face, her own face reddening a little. She spoke softly, “I believe she’s working at Old Sun’s fish stall on the docks...”
“At the docks...” Lu Shiyuan didn’t think too much about the details, quickly thanked her, and rushed toward Old Sun’s fish stall.
As Qi Ming watched him leave, she couldn’t help but think, He’s really handsome.
Arriving at the fish stall, Lu Shiyuan saw Old Sun but no one else. He knew if he directly asked about the astrologer, the crafty merchant would surely try to trap him in a long negotiation.
So, Lu Shiyuan simply said, “I’d like to have five fish delivered to my house. The address is…”
Without further ado, he handed over the money.
Old Sun, delighted by the payment, nodded enthusiastically. “Got it, esteemed customer.”
He then turned and shouted, “Hey! We’ve got a delivery to make, come help out!”
“I’m not ‘hey’—I’m Mona!” A girl with twin braids and a large purple witch hat emerged from behind the stall, grumbling in frustration.
“Whatever, this gentleman bought fish. Deliver it to this address, and hurry.”
Mona pouted, grabbed the packed fish, and headed off.
Lu Shiyuan nodded. It seemed this girl was indeed the astrologer Qi Ming mentioned. He had initially doubted her abilities, but the moment he saw the Vision hanging at her back, all doubts vanished.
Being acknowledged by the gods was proof enough of her capabilities.
He followed behind Mona, and as they rounded a corner, out of sight from the fish stall, he spoke up, “Excuse me, you’re an astrologer, correct?”
Mona stopped and looked back at him, her head held high with pride. “Indeed, I am the great astrologer, Astrologist Mona Megistus. You can call me Mo—”
“Miss Astrologist Mona Megistus, right? I’m the one who bought the fish. I didn’t really want the fish; I just wanted to get your attention,” Lu Shiyuan explained sincerely. “I’d like to ask you for a divination.”
“You actually said my full name correctly!” Mona was slightly taken aback, her opinion of the young man improving slightly as her tone softened. “What do you want me to divine?”
As she spoke, she waved her hand, and a blue watery disk appeared before her.
Seeing this, Lu Shiyuan’s heart leapt with hope. This might work.
He quickly explained his sister’s situation to her.
“You want to find out your sister’s whereabouts, correct...” Mona’s eyes fixed on the water divination disk. As it shifted and changed, her expression grew increasingly strange. Finally, she couldn’t help but exclaim in shock,
“You... weren’t you supposed to have died ten years ago?”
