The faint sparks of electricity seemed insignificant at first, but one small current mischievously collided with the flame in the Fatui Agent's palm.
On the continent of Teyvat, electricity and fire are elements that should never meet, because when they do, the result is a reaction known as Overload.
And what is an Overload reaction? Simply put... it’s an explosion!
When the small amount of Electro energy met the unstable Pyro energy, the result was inevitable—a powerful Overload reaction was triggered!
"What!" The Fatui Agent's eyes widened in disbelief as the fire element he had been gathering in his palm suddenly went out of control, swelling in an instant!
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion erupted, sending both men flying through the air.
Lu Shiyuan, bleeding profusely, was thrown out of the cloud of smoke, landing hard on the ground. He spat out another mouthful of blood.
However, despite his injuries, Lu Shiyuan was in a much better condition than the Fatui Agent!
Because the Fatui Agent had nowhere to land. As soon as he was blasted into the air, he let out a scream before plummeting off the cliff!
"That was an Overload reaction!" Lu Qianzhi clenched her fists, recognizing the cause of the explosion. She didn’t have time to worry about the Fatui Agent falling to his death—her eyes were fixed on her brother, anxious to see if he was all right.
To her immense relief, Lu Shiyuan, gripping the Staff of Homa, slowly and painfully pushed himself up. He shook his head, finally regaining some clarity.
To be honest, that explosion had almost killed him, and it wasn’t much better than getting hit directly by a fireball. It was thanks to his incredible luck—and the power of the Staff of Homa—that he had survived.
But no matter how dangerous it was, the fact remained: he was alive.
"Now, there’s just one thing left to do." Lu Shiyuan turned his gaze toward Wu Su, who was trembling in fear nearby.
Wu Su’s body shook even more violently under Lu Shiyuan's cold stare.
"It's over! Lu Shiyuan’s too strong. He even took down an Agent from the Fatui! What am I supposed to do?" Wu Su thought frantically.
"Still not ready to give up, Wu Su?" Lu Shiyuan asked calmly.
"I... I..." Wu Su tried to respond, but no words would come out.
Seeing that Wu Su had lost the will to fight, Lu Shiyuan turned away from him for the moment. He looked over at his sister and gave her a nod.
Understanding immediately, Lu Qianzhi didn’t hesitate. She leaped from the cliff’s edge, and as she did, a pair of wings unfolded from her back, allowing her to glide smoothly to the other side.
These wings were known as Wings of the Wind, a portable glider that allowed people to glide over long distances.
She landed lightly near the edge of the cliff, retracted her wings, and climbed the remaining distance up the rock face. During this time, Lu Shiyuan kept his eyes on Wu Su, preventing him from making any moves.
Once on solid ground again, Lu Qianzhi picked up her Blackrock Spear, then walked over to her brother, her gaze cold as it locked onto Wu Su.
"Spare... spare me!" Wu Su stammered, begging for mercy.
"When you trapped my sister, did you think about sparing her?" Lu Shiyuan asked, his tone still calm.
Before Wu Su could attempt to argue, Lu Shiyuan continued, "We already have enough witnesses from the two people at the secret realm's exit. You’re of no use to anyone."
With that, Lu Shiyuan pulled out one of his lightweight iron-tipped spears and thrust it toward Wu Su!
His masterful spear skills were on full display as he unleashed a flurry of attacks. In mere moments, Wu Su's body was riddled with over a dozen gaping wounds. Lu Shiyuan’s final blow sent Wu Su flying off the cliff, his screams echoing before fading into silence.
At last, the secret realm was empty of enemies, leaving only the siblings behind.
With the danger passed, Lu Shiyuan finally allowed himself to relax. A wave of deep exhaustion washed over him, and he collapsed backward.
Quickly, Lu Qianzhi caught him and gently propped him against the wall. She was exhausted too, but her brother was in far worse shape. Ignoring her own weariness, she retrieved some medicine from her bag and began administering first aid to him.
The medicine wasn’t nearly enough for injuries like his, but it was better than nothing.
As Lu Qianzhi treated him, Lu Shiyuan, even while being moved around, continued to mutter, lecturing his sister.
"In the future, you should stay away from shady adventurers, especially those scummy men with shifty eyes who care only about money."
"Men will always betray others for their own interests or temptations. Trusting them is like digging your own grave."
"What happened this time should serve as a lesson. Do you understand, Qianzhi? No man is trustworthy... except for me, of course. I’m the best brother in the world."
Lu Qianzhi nodded quietly, knowing that her brother’s words came from a place of concern. She made sure to commit his advice to memory.
Sigh.
After finishing his lecture, Lu Shiyuan sighed again. "I can’t believe some nobody almost pushed me to my limit."
The recent battle had made one thing painfully clear to him: no matter how much he trained his spear skills, at best, he would only reach the level of that hooded man. And even then, he would still lack the power of elemental manipulation.
In his assessment, that hooded man wasn’t as strong as Qianzhi, who possessed a Vision.
Realizing this, Lu Shiyuan felt a deep sense of helplessness. If Qianzhi couldn’t handle an enemy, he would only be rushing to his death by trying to protect her.
Noticing her brother’s troubled expression, Lu Qianzhi smiled. "To be honest, Brother, with your current strength, you probably couldn’t even beat Xiangling’s Guoba."
"Hey, that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think?" Lu Shiyuan frowned, feeling slightly hurt. He already knew his limitations—did she really need to say it out loud?
"But..." Lu Qianzhi’s tone shifted. "Brother, haven’t you noticed something different about yourself?"
"Hmm?" Lu Shiyuan's eyes widened, recalling something, and he quickly began searching through his pockets.
It didn’t take long before he found it—a beautiful purple gemstone!
The gemstone was square-shaped, framed in an octagonal metal casing, and it emitted a faint glow.
As soon as he held it, Lu Shiyuan felt a strange connection to the elemental energies around him. He realized he could now control the elements he once thought unreachable.
In his perception, this gemstone was like a newly born external organ.
"This is... a Vision!" Lu Shiyuan’s eyes grew wide, his hand trembling as he held the gemstone. His heart pounded, and his breathing became heavy.
Eighteen years. For eighteen long years, ever since arriving in this world, he had dreamed of obtaining a Vision.
Every moment, he had feared that all his efforts had been in vain, that he was striving toward an impossible goal. But now, all those years of struggle had finally been rewarded!
And not just any Vision—a Electro Vision! That meant his unreliable phone would finally turn on!
In that instant, all the doubts and despair that had weighed on Lu Shiyuan disappeared. His chest swelled with confidence. He was no longer just an ordinary person with clear limits.
Now, with a Vision, his future held endless possibilities. He could protect his sister with confidence!
