“Brother?!” Seeing the young man appear at the mouth of the corridor, Lu Qianzhi abruptly stood up.

Even though she had been trapped for a full day and night, maintaining a calm demeanor, at this moment, she couldn’t hold it together any longer.

“Brother, how… how did you find me here?” Lu Qianzhi was so overwhelmed with emotion that she could barely speak, stuttering out her question.

Seeing that his sister was safe across the chasm, the coldness in Lu Shiyuan’s expression vanished instantly, and his usual demeanor returned. He scratched his head and grinned, “I was worried about you, so I found a fortune teller to figure out your location.”

“What are you smiling about?!” Lu Qianzhi stomped her foot anxiously, “This place is dangerous, you need to leave now.”

Although she was overjoyed that her brother had come to her rescue at the first sign of trouble, she wasn’t so overwhelmed that she’d lost her senses. There were members of the Fatui here, and no matter how impressive her brother seemed right now, she wasn’t sure he could win.

“I can’t leave,” Lu Shiyuan replied seriously. “At least, not until I’ve rescued you.”

“You’re Lu Qianzhi’s useless brother!” Wu Su, who had finally processed what was happening, stared in disbelief. He had seen Lu Shiyuan before in Liyue Harbor when he was still an adventurer. Back then, Shiyuan had been a complete slacker, a total deadbeat. How could this killing machine be the same person?

“That’s me,” Lu Shiyuan replied, turning to Wu Su, his expression shifting dramatically to one of icy coldness. “And since you dared to harm my sister, I’m going to kill you today. Deaths in hidden realms are normal; no one will investigate. And even if the Millelith do come, I’ve left two prisoners outside to testify and clear me of any wrongdoing.”

“You… don’t get cocky too soon!” Wu Su shouted, stepping back in fear. But realizing how much he had been intimidated, shame flooded his heart. He was humiliated and enraged. “Everyone, attack him! Kill this kid!”

Wu Su’s men, including the one who had brought the message earlier, exchanged glances. Seeing that they had the numbers advantage, they confidently drew their weapons and rushed at Lu Shiyuan.

As the attackers closed in, Lu Shiyuan swiftly drew a spear from his back and hurled it like a javelin. The crowd was so densely packed that he barely needed to aim—he hit one of them dead-on!

Lu Shiyuan’s arm strength was immense, and the spear struck with such force that the unfortunate man was sent flying into the abyss. His scream faded quickly as he plummeted into the depths, vanishing from earshot.

The remaining attackers froze in their tracks, horrified by their comrade’s fate. Wu Su, the first to recover, shouted, “Get in close! If we stay on him, he won’t be able to throw any more spears!”

Hearing this, the group rushed the remaining distance, closing in for close combat.

Lu Shiyuan stood his ground at the narrow entrance of the corridor, preventing them from surrounding him. He wielded the Staff of Homa expertly, engaging the six traitors simultaneously.

Despite being outnumbered six to one, his precise spear techniques and the power of his weapon allowed him to suppress all of them.

However, it was only suppression. With their combined efforts, the six traitors covered for each other, their defense airtight, making it difficult for Lu Shiyuan to find an opening.

“Debt Collector, why aren’t you stepping in yet?!” Wu Su, growing anxious, turned to the man in the black hood.

The man, known as the Debt Collector, responded calmly, “Don’t you have a saying in Liyue? ‘Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will never be defeated.’ The opponent is quite skilled. I don’t fight unprepared."

"Besides…” His voice lowered as he whispered to Wu Su, “The fewer of your companions, the more Mora you’ll get when you sell the empty Vision.”

Wu Su’s breath caught. He glanced at his companions fighting Lu Shiyuan and, for the first time, a different thought crept into his mind.

Initially, he had no intention of betraying his comrades. But after hearing the Debt Collector’s words, it was as if a demon named Greed had been unleashed within him.

For now, Wu Su remained silent, continuing to cheer for his allies and occasionally loosing an arrow or two at Lu Shiyuan. But inwardly, he no longer felt the urgency to have the Debt Collector join the fight.

“Brother… is so strong!” Watching Lu Shiyuan hold his own against six opponents, Lu Qianzhi felt like she had been transported back to that fateful day ten years ago.

Back then, her brother had also triumphed over stronger foes, turning the tables in an instant and saving her from the treasure hoarders.

“After all, my brother is still the same, never having changed.”

A faint smile tugged at her lips, but she quickly shook it off, her face becoming resolute. “But now, I’m no longer the helpless girl I used to be. I won’t be a burden—I need to play my part in this battle!”

As her thoughts raced, Lu Qianzhi began planning how she could help.

“Given the situation, Wu Su and the Fatui man will definitely prevent me from escaping. I don’t have any arrows, so I can’t assist from a distance.”

She racked her brain, and her gaze fell on the black spear adorned with a red gemstone in her hand.

“I’ve got it.” Her eyes lit up as inspiration struck, recalling how Lu Shiyuan had thrown his spear earlier.

“I may not be able to cross over, but this spear… there’s no way they can stop it!”

Focusing her energy, the orange gemstone at her waist began to glow.

Hum, hum—

Geo energy flowed through her, channeling into the Blackcliff Pole. The spear vibrated slightly as it absorbed the power.

“That’s enough.” Feeling the spear had reached its limit, Lu Qianzhi gripped it tightly and hurled it toward the other side of the chasm.

The Blackcliff Pole shot forward like a streak of black light, aimed at the group of enemies, but soon, it began to lose momentum, veering off course and landing harmlessly among them.

The traitors exchanged amused glances, silently laughing at Lu Qianzhi, assuming she was too exhausted to aim properly.

“Do it! This is the only way I can help my brother!” Lu Qianzhi’s eyes shone brightly as she uttered a soft command, “Thousandfold Strength!

With her words, the Blackcliff Pole buried in the ground suddenly erupted with radiant light, unleashing all the stored Geo energy into the earth.
