Playing Genshin in Genshin! [16]

---

The carriage smoothly arrived at Liyue Harbor, and Hu Tao jumped out, helping Lu Shiyuan hurry to Bubu Pharmacy for treatment.

Lu Qianzhi, who had rested a bit on the carriage, had recovered some energy and was now escorting the two traitors to the Ministry of Civil Affairs to file a report.

Bubu Pharmacy was a well-known medical establishment in Liyue Harbor, and its owner, Baizhu, was a highly skilled doctor. Healing Lu Shiyuan wasn’t going to be a problem—though it would be very, very expensive.

As they approached the pharmacy, Hu Tao hesitated, looking slightly awkward. “Shiyuan, I’ve had a little... incident with that herbalist girl inside, so I’ll wait here for you. You go in by yourself.”

“Alright,” Lu Shiyuan vaguely remembered the incident.

He took a few steps forward, but just before entering the pharmacy, he stopped suddenly and turned to Hu Tao. “Hall Master Hu, shouldn’t Wangsheng Funeral Parlor cover my medical expenses this time? After all, I saved one of your guest elders.”

“…” Even the mischievous Hu Tao was taken aback by this unexpected question.

She paused before sighing, “Fine, I get it. Seriously, you’re half-dead, and you’re still fussing over a few Mora.”

“Thanks,” Lu Shiyuan smiled in satisfaction and happily entered the pharmacy, completely ignoring whatever Hu Tao muttered next.

"Hmph, that medical bill... I’ll just deduct it from Zhongli’s expense budget. He keeps buying useless trinkets. He’s going to bankrupt Wangsheng Funeral Parlor at this rate," she grumbled.

With Lu Shiyuan inside, the entrance to Bubu Pharmacy became quiet again, and Hu Tao kicked pebbles around in boredom.

After about two hours, as dusk began to settle, a green-haired man wearing glasses, with a snake around his neck, led Lu Shiyuan out of the pharmacy.

Lu Shiyuan was now wrapped in bandages and dressed in loose patient clothes. Through the collar of his shirt, the thick layers of bandages could be seen. His old clothes and belongings were packed neatly in a bag provided by the pharmacy.

“How are you feeling? Not dead, I hope?” Hu Tao asked, completely nonchalant.

“Much better.” Lu Shiyuan smiled, handing the Staff of Homa back to her.

Hu Tao took it without hesitation, turning to the green-haired man. “Doctor Baizhu, I didn’t bring any Mora today, so I’ll have someone deliver the medical fee to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor tomorrow.”

“Of course, Hall Master Hu,” Baizhu smiled and nodded. He turned to Lu Shiyuan, “Make sure to come back regularly for your bandages to be changed.”

“I will,” Lu Shiyuan quickly replied.

“Alright, let’s go, you penny-pincher.” Hu Tao patted Lu Shiyuan on the shoulder before striding off, leading the way back to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Lu Shiyuan, not the least bit offended, cheerfully walked alongside Hu Tao back home. However, Hu Tao, being the busy Hall Master, soon left to attend to her work.

Not long after, his sister, Lu Qianzhi, returned.

“How did it go at the Ministry of Civil Affairs?” Lu Shiyuan asked.

“The two witnesses confessed easily enough. Oddly, they didn’t mention anything about the Fatui, which works in our favor. Still, this is a major case involving over a dozen deaths, so it won’t be concluded so easily. But as long as we cooperate with the investigation, we should be fine,” Lu Qianzhi explained briefly. After checking her brother’s condition, she let out a big yawn.

“I’m exhausted, bro. I’m going to take a nap. You should rest too. We’ll deal with everything else once I’ve had some sleep.”

With that, she forced herself to wash up quickly before retreating to her room for a well-deserved rest.

“It looks like this incident is pretty much wrapped up,” Lu Shiyuan sighed in relief. Back in his room, he lay down and, with a gesture, summoned a black smartphone into his hand.

Taking out his Electro Vision, he carefully placed it on the back of the phone. The Vision snapped into place, and soft Electro energy began to flow into the device.

Finally, after a moment of tension, the phone’s screen lit up, successfully booting up.

A simple home screen appeared before him. Overjoyed, Lu Shiyuan immediately started navigating the phone, his fingers moving with familiarity.

After exploring the phone’s apps, Lu Shiyuan quickly realized what he had in his hands.

The phone was packed with nearly everything an ordinary smartphone could search for—videos, audio, games, novels, even the search engines' results and comments, all saved in full detail.

Realizing how incredible this device was, Lu Shiyuan couldn’t contain his excitement.

As he fiddled with various apps, he accidentally swiped in the opposite direction on the home screen.

To his surprise, a completely new interface appeared, featuring only one app—Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact?” Lu Shiyuan rubbed his chin. “I remember this being a popular game in my past life, but I never got the chance to play it before I was transported here."

“Could this game hold some kind of secret? Why would the phone dedicate an entire screen just for it?”

Out of sheer curiosity, Lu Shiyuan tapped the game.

The phone rotated to landscape mode, and soothing music began to play. The game quickly loaded, revealing a large door on the screen. A simple tap was all it would take to open it.

Lu Shiyuan also noticed something unusual—the phone’s audio was directly transmitted to his ears, as if he were wearing high-quality headphones.

At least this way, he wouldn’t disturb his sister.

Feeling a strange sense of anticipation, Lu Shiyuan tapped the screen.

“So, you two drifted here from another world? But just as you were about to leave for the next one, a mysterious god appeared to block your path?”

A cute female voice narrated the opening cinematic, showing a pair of golden-haired twins fighting a white-haired goddess claiming to be the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.

The scene quickly progressed to character selection, and without hesitation, Lu Shiyuan chose the sister. However, the name was locked as “Lumine.”

As a result, the brother was sealed away, while Lumine struggled but ultimately lost to the Sustainer’s attacks, encased in dark red blocks as she gradually lost consciousness.

With the opening finished, the game officially began. Guided by the floating companion, Paimon, Lu Shiyuan controlled Lumine as they set off on their journey.

But it didn’t take long for Lu Shiyuan to notice something off. “Why does the scenery in this game feel so familiar? It’s like I’ve seen it somewhere before. Is it just my imagination?”

Soon, he realized it wasn’t a mistake. On the screen, Lumine arrived at a high hill, and in the distance stood a statue that Lu Shiyuan knew all too well—a Statue of The Seven.

While each nation’s statues had slight differences, their height, material, and overall design were unmistakable, and Lu Shiyuan had seen them in person before.

The statue on the screen was unmistakably the Anemo Archon’s statue from Mondstadt!

In an instant, Lu Shiyuan shot up from his bed, staring at the screen in shock, unable to find the words.

“Why is Mondstadt’s landscape in this game?”

There was no one to answer him. After a moment of stunned silence, he lay back down.

If he wanted answers, he’d have to keep playing this game.
