Honkai: Star Rail. Getting chased by players! [15]

---

“Knock, knock, knock! Cava! Himeko said you're coming with us this time!”

March 7th's energetic voice snapped Cava out of his thoughts. Right, it was still too early to be thinking about creating a 5-star character card. Better to focus all his energy on this trailblazing journey.

“Hold on! I’ll be right there!”

Grabbing a backpack, Cava made sure to pack the metal container holding Himeko’s "special black coffee," along with some basic supplies, just in case they ran into any surprises in Belobog.

Once everything was ready, Cava opened his door and headed toward the observation cabin.

...

“Ready? An exciting adventure awaits! Let’s go!”

Inside the landing module, March 7th shouted energetically.

“Let’s go!”

Stelle, moved by March 7th’s enthusiasm, joined in, the two of them gazing at the planet Jarilo-VI below, their minds filled with endless possibilities.

“Hm… you’ll get used to it.”

Dan Heng glanced at Cava, who seemed a bit uneasy, and patted his shoulder.

“Uh, actually, I think this is pretty good. After all, this trailblazing trip certainly won’t be boring, will it?”

Cava smiled as he looked ahead at the two lively companions.

“True.”

Dan Heng nodded in agreement.

In the sky over Jarilo-VI, a blue-glowing meteor slowly descended toward the last human settlement on this icy planet: Belobog, the final bastion of humanity, sheltered by the Guardian of Preservation.

Before the cold wave struck, Jarilo-VI had been a planet of eternal spring, with a mild climate and flourishing cities built by the hard work and ingenuity of its people. They had begun to communicate with the outside world, and after the star rail connected to Jarilo-VI, the planet thrived as it became more integrated with other civilizations.

Jarilo-VI's unique resource, the geodesic crystal, was highly coveted by other worlds, turning the planet into a famous vacation destination throughout the galaxy.

At the time, everyone believed that this planet would shine brightly in the cosmos, like a star among the stars.

However, the arrival of a Stellaron shattered those hopes and the future envisioned by the "Builders" of the planet.

The Stellaron brought chaos and disaster to this once-beautiful world. What had been a renowned tourist destination became the playground for the marauding forces of the antimatter legion.

In their quest for Preservation, the first Guardian of Belobog made a wish to the Stellaron, and a great cold wave engulfed the entire planet...

The cold wave halted the Destruction wrought by the antimatter legion but also severed Jarilo-VI’s connection to the outside world.

From that moment, Jarilo-VI became a lone ship adrift in the vast universe, with Belobog being the last passenger on board.

A thousand years later, the star rail of Exploration descended upon Jarilo-VI once more, and a new conflict centered around the Stellaron began to unfold...

...

“Wow! It really is a winter wonderland here!”

March 7th stepped out of the landing module and into the snow-covered landscape. She extended her hands, catching a snowflake that quickly melted into a droplet in her warm palms, marveling at the scene before her.

“It really is a winter wonderland!”

Stelle stretched lazily and echoed the sentiment as she looked at the endless snow.

“Echo machine, huh?”

March 7th teased Stelle for repeating her words.

“Ugh, all this snow… where are we supposed to go?”

March turned toward Dan Heng, knowing that as the train’s guard and the group’s go-to strategist, he’d definitely have the answer.

“Based on the coordinates, our destination is just ahead.”

Dan Heng glanced at the landing module’s position and looked toward the snowy expanse beyond, where their objective awaited them.

“So, why didn’t we just land directly there?”

Cava couldn’t help but question the decision. If it weren’t for his powers of Preservation, he would’ve already turned into a popsicle in this freezing cold.

“Uh… you wanna explain, or should I?”

Dan Heng, looking slightly embarrassed, threw the ball into March 7th’s court.

“Uh... I think we should just let it go. After all, landing here is safer—no creatures around. Right?”

Stelle’s expression was somewhat amused, as if she could smell something fun brewing.

“In any case, it doesn’t hurt to be cautious. We know very little about this world,” Dan Heng said seriously, recalling lessons from their past trailblazing adventures, as he eyed the carefree March 7th.

“Don’t worry! With the four of us here, what could possibly go wrong?”

March 7th confidently patted Cava on the shoulder, grinning.

Huh...

Watching March 7th’s proud expression, Cava had to admit, she wasn’t wrong.

Originally, the trailblazing team had just been Stelle, March 7th, and Dan Heng, but now, with Cava’s addition, the team felt complete.

Look, Stelle was still aligned with Destruction, Dan Heng was on the path of The Hunt, March 7th was following Preservation, and Cava… well, he had molded his abilities to be a hybrid of Abundance and Harmony. His healing and support abilities were top-notch, and if he reached six eidolons… Well, things could get complicated!

“See what I mean?” March 7th smiled as she saw Cava nodding in agreement.

“Stelle has a Stellaron in her, I’ve got my unique ice powers, Dan Heng has... uh, some mysterious past. And Cava... uh... has the tragic backstory of being on a shipwreck?”

March 7th suddenly ran out of steam, unsure what unique trait to assign to Cava. Was being handsome enough of a trait? Now that she thought about it, Cava might just be the most mysterious one in their group!

“Really? One shipwreck and I’m stuck with it for life.”

Cava rolled his eyes. You could at least compliment me on my looks!

“Uh... Anyway! Whoever tries to mess with us is in for a bad time!”

“They’re in for a bad time!”

Stelle echoed.

“Ugh… how long has this echoing been going on?”

March 7th gave Stelle a concerned look, wondering if this habit was a side effect of something.

“Did Uncle Yang hit her too hard? Or did that cup of Himeko’s coffee scramble her brain?”
