A dark, malevolent voice echoed ceaselessly in Dvalin’s mind.
Kill Barbatos. Tear apart that false Anemo Archon who deceived you!
The remnants of Dvalin’s rationality struggled against the voice, but it was drowned by the constant barrage of torment and rage.
Pain coursed through its body, sharp and unrelenting, a torment that had plagued it since centuries ago.
The poisonous blood that had seeped into Dvalin's veins long ago now burned like molten lava, scorching every fiber of its being. The agony brought tears of blood to its eyes, staining the visage of the once-proud Dragon of the East Wind.
Poisoned and tormented, Dvalin had fallen into a long, restless slumber. Yet, upon waking, it found itself reviled and branded as a “Stormterror” by the very people it once protected.
Fury simmered as Dvalin fixated on the distant figures soaring above the clouds.
Barbatos… the people of Mondstadt… they betrayed you! They lied to you!
The voice, insidious and persistent, whispered again and again, stoking Dvalin’s hatred, inflaming its wrath. The dragon yearned to unleash its fury, to make them all pay.
“Barbatos!” Dvalin roared, surging forward with powerful beats of its wings, only to be forced back by a barrage of Anemo projectiles.
Its attempts to strike down the group with its breath were thwarted time and again, the attacks dissipating under calculated counterattacks.
Dvalin’s piercing gaze flicked to two individuals.
Two humans without Visions, yet both possessed power that threatened its dominance.
The black-haired man, whose eyes blazed with unwavering determination. The golden-haired girl, clad in foreign attire, whose presence emanated a peculiar strength.
Were they here to aid Barbatos? To hunt it down in the Anemo Archon’s name?
The thought sent a fresh wave of pain rippling through Dvalin’s poisoned body. Its anger mounted, blurring the line between reason and rage.

Meanwhile, Jia Changjiang, while warding off incoming wind bullets with precision, split his focus to glance at his system interface.
An ominous sensation had crept over him, setting him on edge.
Within the system’s unclaimed rewards was something Jia Changjiang had deliberately avoided—a special weapon authorization.
The system had marked this weapon as extremely dangerous, cautioning against its use without care.
Jia Changjiang didn’t know the weapon’s specifics, but anything labeled “extremely dangerous” had to possess considerable power.
Peering into the dark energy swirling around the weapon’s icon, he felt an inexplicable pull. It was as though something within the weapon beckoned to him, urging him to claim it, to wield it in battle.
Why now? Why was this weapon suddenly reacting?
A question gnawed at him: could this weapon, obtained after the last encounter with Stormterror, hold some connection to the dragon?
[Come, vessel! Kill, fight… and meet me in death!]
A hoarse, maniacal voice suddenly rang in Jia Changjiang’s ears, as if someone were speaking directly to him.
“?!”
Startled, Jia Changjiang whipped his head around, but there was no one nearby.
His heart pounded wildly, and his body trembled from the unsettling sensation the voice had left behind.
“Jia Changjiang?”
Diluc was the first to notice his odd behavior.
“Jax, what’s wrong?” Venti’s voice carried a note of concern as his gaze lingered on Jia Changjiang. “Wait… are you smiling?”
Jia Changjiang’s lips had curved upward, betraying an unexpected excitement.
“It’s nothing.”
Suppressing his emotions, he shook his head.
Far from fear, the strange voice had sparked an inexplicable thrill within him—a strange exhilaration at the prospect of battle.
Lumine, however, furrowed her brows. She had felt it—a presence similar to Dvalin emanating briefly from Jia Changjiang.
It wasn’t wind, but something darker: hatred and rage, just like the energy coursing through Dvalin.
What… was that?

“We’re almost there,” Venti announced, his voice breaking the tense silence.
His words offered a much-needed lift in spirits. They were no longer fleeing aimlessly through the skies—they were nearing a battleground, a place where they could stand their ground against the dragon.
Before long, the group saw it: a platform at the eye of the storm.
Nine massive stone platforms formed a ring, surrounding something at their center. The vortex of clouds obscured what lay below, but the platforms floated serenely amidst the chaos, as if shielded by their own mysterious power.
Once interconnected, the platforms were now fractured, separated by gaping voids. The violent winds that tore at the surrounding ruins left the platforms untouched, their surfaces calm and steady.
“There!” Venti gestured, leading the group down toward the central platform.
As they landed, solid ground underfoot brought a sense of relief. Hearts that had raced from their harrowing flight now beat with a steadier rhythm.
Diluc subtly stretched his legs, shaking off the lingering numbness from Jia Changjiang’s firm grip during the flight.
“Now we can face Dvalin on equal footing.”
Venti’s bow materialized in his hands as he spoke, the green energy of Anemo coalescing around him. “Even weakened, Dvalin remains powerful… this fight will be no less dangerous than before.”
“I’ll focus on disrupting Dvalin’s defenses and suppressing its movements. The rest…”
Before Venti could finish, the others had already drawn their weapons, turning to face the dragon that loomed ever closer.
“Leave the rest to us! Anemo Archon—no, bard!”
Jia Changjiang slung his battle axe across his back and pulled out a massive hunting bow. With deliberate strength, he loosed the first arrow of the climactic battle. “Even if we have to drag it out of the Abyss Order’s grasp, we’ll bring this dragon back for you!”
Venti smiled, drawing back his bowstring as an Anemo arrow formed.
“Then I’ll leave it to you—warriors and heroes.”
“Please, return Dvalin’s freedom. Grant it the chance to choose its own path once again.”
