The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [77]

So, this is what the Gnoses of the Seven Archons look like?

Claim it, destroy it, discard it?

Listening to the system’s incessant prompts, Jia Changjiang shook his head, unwilling to make an immediate decision.

Turning toward Venti, he asked, "Venti, let me ask you something important… Is the Gnosis truly vital to you?"

As he spoke, he casually tossed the aquamarine chess piece—a representation of the Anemo Gnosis—up and down in his hand, watching it glint in the light.

"Hmm?"

Venti, clutching his chest, froze for a moment, surprised by the question.

Without waiting for an answer, Jia Changjiang abruptly clenched the Gnosis in his hand. "Alright, let me rephrase it in a way I prefer."

"Venti! If you had to choose between the Gnosis and Mondstadt’s dandelion wine, which would it be?" Jia Changjiang summoned a massive two-handed sword from his system’s inventory and pointed it at La Signora and the Fatui entourage.

"Well… I’d choose the dandelion wine, of course," Venti said with a weak smile, his pale face lightening just a bit. "As for the Gnosis, I’ll leave it to you, Jax."

"Then I’ll entrust it to you," Venti added, his voice soft but resolute.

"Got it," Jia Changjiang replied. "Leave it to me."

Meanwhile, within the system interface, three distinct choices appeared, accompanied by descriptive text:

[Claim It!]
Take everything. Absorb the power of the Gnosis into yourself. From now on, the elements will be no more than tools at your disposal. Control everything. One day… even the gods will be within your reach.
[Today, we are mortals. But in time, we will rule all.]

[Destroy It!]
Power is both the strength of the gods and their chains. Mortals are not the chosen vessels of divine authority. If there truly exists a bond between gods and mortals, let it be severed completely. Let no gods descend, and let no mortals rise to the heavens. End it—absolute severance between the divine and the mundane.
[There is no coexistence between gods and mortals. Overturn everything as it stands!]

[Discard It!]
This world, like all things, has its destined course. Even if abandoned, there will come a day when someone will raise the banner of rebellion against "Heavenly Principles." Humanity will prove its existence and value in this world.
We are not gods. We are mortals. Yet we know, deeply, who we live for. We understand the origins of what we hold dear and recognize our place within fate.

[Forge your own path. Witness this world and act for those you love.]

The system’s texts painted three starkly different choices, each carving a unique path.

As he stared at the options, it felt as though time itself had come to a halt, the words illuminating three separate futures.

Claim the Gnosis as his own? Destroy it? Or follow the third path and simply discard it?

"Like hell I’m choosing anything right now!"

Jia Changjiang stuffed the Gnosis into his chest pocket. "First, I’ve got debts to settle with all of you—for freezing Paimon, attacking Lumine, and harming Venti!"

Without hesitation, Jia Changjiang charged toward La Signora, his eyes blazing with determination. "Let’s see how powerful the Tsaritsa’s blessing really is!"

"How uncivilized," La Signora sneered, waving her hand.

An icy gale whipped through the air, freezing Jia Changjiang’s legs to the ground, just as it had done to Venti earlier.

But Jia Changjiang’s expression remained unfazed. With a grunt of effort, he wrenched his legs free from the ice, shards cracking and splintering as he advanced.

Blood seeped from cuts on his legs where the jagged ice had torn his skin, but he ignored the pain, charging forward with unstoppable momentum.

"Madman!" La Signora scowled, her composure breaking slightly as she summoned leyline energy beneath her and Jia Changjiang’s feet.

In an instant, both were swallowed by the leyline, vanishing from the battlefield.

Lumine tried to pursue them, but a hidden Fatui agent struck her neck, leaving her dazed.

Before she lost consciousness, she glimpsed the Fatui systematically erasing all evidence of the battle.

With one last thought—a searing vow—Lumine resolved: When I regain my strength, I’ll crush every last one of these Fatui. Especially that woman. Let’s see if she dares face me one-on-one.

Her fury remained as she slipped into unconsciousness.

---

The scene at Mondstadt Cathedral returned to its prior serenity. Only Lumine and Venti lay collapsed at the church’s entrance.

Yet, despite his condition, a faint smile tugged at Venti’s lips.

Here in Mondstadt, the first winds symbolized resistance, transformation, and freedom. And now…

---

Elsewhere, the leyline deposited Jia Changjiang and La Signora in the mountainous terrain near Dadaupa Gorge. As Jia Changjiang glanced around, he could even see the towering peaks of Dragonspine looming in the distance.

Encircling him were not just La Signora, but an entire contingent of Fatui vanguard troops.

"Hand over the Gnosis, Jax."

La Signora’s artifact hovered ominously at her side. "You have no reason to stand against the Fatui. I’ll admit you’re strong, but without elemental power, you’re still just a mortal. Do the smart thing."

"From Mondstadt to here… Is this leyline magic?" Jia Changjiang muttered, ignoring her threat. "Impressive. Instant transport. At least I’ve got room to stretch my legs now… though it’s a shame my battle axe didn’t get transported too."

"It seems you’ve made your choice," La Signora said, narrowing her eyes. She motioned to her soldiers, and a burly Fatui Vanguard armed with an electrified warhammer charged at Jia Changjiang.

The hammer swung down with devastating force, but a moment later, the Vanguard was sent flying backward, his weapon crashing into the ground and leaving a crater.

"Fatui’s La Signora… I know you’re collecting Gnoses to hand over to your god, but frankly, I couldn’t care less about what you and the Cryo Archon are up to."

Jia Changjiang tapped his chest pocket, where the Gnosis rested securely.

"What I care about," he growled, lifting the massive warhammer with one hand, "is what you did to Venti and Lumine."

With a feral grin, he pointed the weapon toward La Signora.

"So come on, Fatui! Step up and face your reckoning!"
