"I can’t teach Razor much, but when it comes to satisfying one’s desires, that’s something I can absolutely show him how to do!"
Resting a firm hand on Razor's shoulder, Jia Changjiang let a reassuring sense of confidence flow through his palm and into Razor's spirit.
"Now… confront your own desires and tell yourself what you truly want to do. That’s all it takes," Jia Changjiang said simply before releasing Razor.
"…You’re leading Razor onto the most difficult path," the Wolf King remarked, its tone laden with disapproval.
Jia Changjiang, however, retorted with ease: "No, I’m leading him onto the path he desires the most."
"Well then, enough talk! Time to head out!" Jia Changjiang abruptly hoisted Razor onto his shoulder, shouting to the Wolf King, "We’re borrowing Razor for a bit! We’ll return him in a few days!"
"Let’s go!" he called out to Lumine and the others, encouraging them to make a swift exit.
As the group prepared to leave, the Wolf King’s voice lingered in the air, following them.
"You truly are strange and willful yet noble beings."
"If that is the case, then do as you will. Should you seek it, I can provide trials."
"As for the black wolf… let the pack handle that matter."
"That is all I have to say."
The Wolf King’s voice gradually faded into the background as Jia Changjiang carried a bewildered Razor on his shoulder. The group sprinted merrily through Wolvendom, their chatter filled with excitement. Jia Changjiang’s lips curled into a small smile.
"Heh… that prideful old Wolf King…"
Razor, meanwhile, was utterly lost.
The events of the day had been a whirlwind for him. He had met a group of extraordinary people, faced off with hunters, and been tasked by the Wolf King to learn from Jia Changjiang.
Now, to top it off, he was being carried away from Wolvendom by this newfound Lupical of humans, heading toward Mondstadt.
It was all so overwhelming that Razor felt a deep confusion overtaking him.
Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going?
"Da-da-da!" Klee ran along behind them, giggling with excitement. "Razor! Let’s go to the Knights of Favonius together! Everyone there is super nice!"
Her enthusiasm was uncontainable, her excitement bolstered by the thought of her new friend visiting Mondstadt. She seemed to have completely forgotten that she had escaped from confinement just earlier…
"Alright, let’s take Razor to the Knights first!" Jia Changjiang declared while carrying Razor effortlessly. "The one to teach Razor how to use an Electro Vision will be Lisa! Plus, Amber, you need to report everything that happened in Wolvendom, right?"
"Yeah," Amber nodded. "The wolf pack attacks were a pretty serious issue… But since the misunderstanding is cleared up, I’ll need to update the Knights so that everyone can calm down."
She added with a smile, "Don’t worry, though. Now that we’ve sorted things out, the wolf pack won’t be in any danger."
"Reliable as always. No wonder you’re called the Outrider," Jia Changjiang praised.
"What about me, huh? What about me?!" Klee tugged on Jia Changjiang’s sleeve excitedly. "Uncle Jax, wasn’t I super helpful today too?"
"Of course! Klee was fantastic today," Jia Changjiang replied, patting her head.
Placated by the praise, Klee beamed, skipping alongside the group as they finally arrived at Mondstadt.
The city guards, seeing the familiar group, called out in greeting. "Mr. Jax, Miss Lumine, Amber, and—"
Their polite words faltered when they noticed Razor slung over Jia Changjiang’s shoulder. The sight made them freeze in alarm.
"Mr. Jax! The boy on your shoulder… who is he?" one of the guards stammered, momentarily fearing that Jia Changjiang had kidnapped someone.
Then again, with Amber there, it probably wasn’t anything bad… right?
As the guard glanced at Amber for reassurance, he noticed her looking away awkwardly, as if trying to avoid eye contact.
"Don’t worry," Jia Changjiang assured him with a grin.
"This is Razor, Lisa’s apprentice. Everything’s fine."
"Lisa’s apprentice? Well… if you say so," the guard replied, though still somewhat confused. Trusting the group, however, he let them through.
Before long, the group reached the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
Unfortunately for Klee, her earlier escape from confinement didn’t go unnoticed. Jean swiftly caught her, scolding her while hauling her back to her little confinement room.
Meanwhile, Razor and the others settled into the training grounds behind the Knights’ headquarters.
Jia Changjiang rummaged through his mysterious storage space, pulling out various materials and setting up a small portable forge.
"Alright, time to make a new weapon!"
Looking over at Razor, he added, "This one’s for you. We’ll use a few things I picked up, including some of the Wolf King’s fur and Cryo essence."
Tossing the materials into the forge, Jia Changjiang grabbed a small tuft of Razor’s hair for good measure and added it to the mix.
He threw in a random assortment of items: Cor Lapis, Lamp Grass, some Valberries—and even a hefty sum of Mora.
After selecting the design for a greatsword, the forge spat out a series of tags, each representing potential traits for the new weapon.
[Claws of Winter] [Beast Slayer] [Wolfhunt] [Tracker] [Guerilla Fighter] [Massive Weapon] [Fluffy] [Cryo Air Conditioning] [Edible] [Geo Explosion Self-Destruct]…
Some of the tags were clearly ridiculous, but Jia Changjiang was pleased to see so many options this time compared to previous attempts.
After carefully considering the tags, he chose the following five for Razor’s weapon:
[Claws of Winter] [Beast Slayer] [Wolfhunt] [Tracker] [Guerilla Fighter].
Even without much experience, Jia Changjiang had a gut feeling this combination would be both powerful and fun.
"Jax, Jax! Is it my turn yet?" Lumine asked excitedly, pulling out a pile of materials she had prepared in advance. "I’m ready to go!"
Amid the pile was an enormous dragon horn, impossible to miss.
"Wait, isn’t that Dvalin’s horn? Traveler, where did you even get that?!"
