Some Master Studies
Added 2021-02-08 11:51:15 +0000 UTCLately I've been feeling a bit burnt out and have found that a good way to not sulk and completely depress about it is to do some master studies (or probably just studies in general, but this seemed more fun), so here are some Degenesis characters and Even Amundsen studies.
I think a big part of the reason why I stress over art is focusing on the final product and having too high of expectations for it, instead of just working on working. I don't think a lot of people got good trying to make something really good, I think it mostly happens from just trying to make, and making a lot - so I'll be trying to focus more on just putting in time instead of being distracted by how good or bad what I'm working on is.
Plus, this tendency to attach emotionally to work is very deceptive. If I let frustration get the best of me, I usually perceive my art as worse then it really is while I'm working on it (so there's a greater chance of quitting), and it usually looks better to me when I cool off and look at it later.
Plus++, work in progress does tend to look pretty ugly it you're not absolutely sure what you're doing, so being stressed out on top of that is a really bad combination.
