The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [138]
Added 2024-12-24 19:54:23 +0000 UTCThe Frostarm Lawachurl, once a ferocious weapon of destruction, was reduced to an instrument of chaos in Jia Changjiang’s hands.
With every violent swing, the massive creature’s body slammed into the ground, obliterating an Abyss Mage into an unrecognizable pulp. The Hilichurls surrounding them fared no better, either smashed to pieces or flung away like ragdolls by the Lawachurl’s sheer weight.
Whatever power the Archon’s malice had granted the Frostarm Lawachurl, it was utterly useless now.
By the time Jia Changjiang finally let go of the massive beast’s corpse, the Frostarm Lawachurl was unconscious—or worse, its life extinguished.
The remaining Hilichurls, seeing their leader brutalized, scattered in disarray. The Knights of Favonius pressed their advantage, driving the remnants back step by step.
The Abyss Mages, however, remained defiant even as the tide turned against them.
“You think this is over?” one of them hissed as the group was surrounded.
A Pyro Abyss Mage stepped forward, its voice rising in venomous anger. “Otherworlder! You don’t even understand the enemy you face!”
Dragging the unconscious Frostarm Lawachurl behind him like a sack of potatoes, Jia Changjiang joined the others in surrounding the Abyss Mages.
“Honestly, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard that,” Jia Changjiang replied with a wry grin, slamming the Lawachurl’s body into the ground for emphasis. The impact sent tremors through the earth. “So, where exactly do you think you’re running now?”
The Abyss Mage let out a distorted laugh. “We may have underestimated you. Even unarmed, you’re formidable… but your greatest mistake was touching a creature tainted by the Archon’s malice!”
Raising its staff high, the Pyro Abyss Mage roared, “Now, feel the malice of the gods for yourself!”
Dark, purplish-black energy surged from the Frostarm Lawachurl’s body, funneling into Jia Changjiang’s chest.
“Jia Changjiang!” Lumine cried, rushing forward to grab his hand. She immediately tried channeling the same cleansing power she had once used to purify Dvalin’s corrupted blood, hoping to dispel the sinister energy now invading Jia Changjiang’s body.
The Knights readied their swords, preparing to strike down the Abyss Mages.
For a moment, Jia Changjiang froze, his expression unreadable. The malice swirled visibly around him before vanishing into his body. Lumine continued to hold onto him, but despite her efforts, she felt no trace of corruption within him.
It was gone.
“Impossible!”
The Abyss Mage stumbled back in disbelief. “How can you resist the malice of the Archons? That power… not even the Adepti of Liyue—”
Jia Changjiang’s face twisted into a peculiar expression, his brow furrowing in confusion.
Because as the malice disappeared, his long-silent system suddenly chimed in.

Jia Changjiang blinked. The system… ate it?
Lumine checked him over again but found nothing unusual. Only her hands, now covered in Hilichurl blood from touching him, served as any sign of battle.
“You’re… you’re okay?” Lumine asked, wiping her bloody hands on one of the few clean spots left on Jia Changjiang’s clothes.
“Seems like it,” he replied, equally bemused.
The Pyro Abyss Mage staggered back, regaining some of its composure. “So, the Archon’s malice has no effect on you… but that changes nothing!”
Raising both hands, the Mage summoned an object to float above its head.
To the Knights’ shock, the object was a bomb. But not just any bomb—it was unmistakably one of Klee’s creations, complete with its signature long bunny ears.
“We’ve conducted extensive reconnaissance on Mondstadt’s defenses!” the Abyss Mage declared triumphantly. “This artifact is the city’s greatest treasure! Even a child wields incredible power with it!”
Holding the bomb aloft, the Mage cackled. “Now, behold this artifact as it destroys you all!”
The Pyro Abyss Mage channeled fire elemental energy into the device. Around them, its fellow Abyss Mages activated teleportation circles in preparation for their escape.
The surrounding Knights, recognizing the bomb’s devastating potential, immediately retreated. Even Jia Changjiang backed away cautiously.
“Run all you like!” the Mage howled with laughter, its arrogance growing with each passing second. “This firebrand of destruction shall annihilate you all!”
But what the Abyss Mage failed to realize was that its every move was being watched—from the walls of Mondstadt.
“Waaaahhh!”
Klee’s startled cry rang out. “That… that bad fluffy thing is holding my treasure!”
“Huh?” Amber turned toward the commotion, following Klee’s gaze. Her face paled. “That’s one of Klee’s bombs?!”
From their vantage point, they could see the Knights hastily withdrawing from the Abyss Mage, creating a wide berth around the bomb.
“HAHAHAHA! Afraid, aren’t you? It’s already too late!”
The Abyss Mage, emboldened by the Knights’ fear, funneled even more Pyro energy into the bomb. Its laughter echoed across the battlefield as it prepared to unleash devastation upon Mondstadt’s defenders.
“Let Mondstadt’s treasure be your end!”
But before the Mage could finish its sentence, its words were abruptly cut off by an ear-splitting explosion.
The resulting shockwave flattened the surrounding area, sending a mushroom cloud of fire and smoke billowing into the night sky.
The Knights, well-versed in the power of Klee’s bombs, instinctively hit the ground, bracing themselves against the blast’s shockwave.
When the dust settled, the site where the Abyss Mages had once stood was now a massive crater.
The victor of the night became indisputably clear.
The Spark Knight, Klee.
Even the Knights hadn’t expected someone foolish enough to steal one of Klee’s bombs and actively feed it Pyro energy.

T/N: I don't know if you guys noticed but Lumine uses his full actual name when it's like a serious or worried moment but when it's casual it's just Jax sometimes Mr. Jax because of Paimon
