The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [250]
Added 2025-01-19 01:30:23 +0000 UTCWhile Lumine was at the Adventurers’ Guild picking up commissions, Jia Changjiang sat on a boulder beneath Mt. Tianheng outside Liyue Harbor, meticulously inspecting his newly acquired weapon.
After giving his trusty battle axe to Noelle, Jia Changjiang had been using whatever came to hand. But this new weapon, a reward from fulfilling his contract with Zhongli, suited him perfectly.
The weapon was a massive, jet-black spear, its shaft covered in overlapping, jagged scales, exuding an aura of ferocity. Accompanying it was an equally colossal shield adorned with menacing horns.
Together, they formed the True Black Dragon Lance, a weapon crafted from the materials of an ancient dragon. It carried with it the ultimate destructive power—one strike could unleash catastrophic devastation.
Simply wielding the weapon conveyed its immense might. Its sheer size and intimidating design made it almost impractical—Jia Changjiang had to avoid taking it into the city since it drew far too much attention.
Even so, Jia Changjiang felt exhilarated. He could sense the essence of the Black Dragon, Miraboreas, coursing through the weapon.
Miraboreas, the Calamity of Fate, was a monstrous elder dragon whose presence heralded death and destruction. Its immense body was covered in ominous violet-black scales, crowned with four forbidden black horns. Known for its flames of annihilation and crushing tail, it accepted no equal.
This weapon, forged from its remains, embodied its catastrophic legacy—a testament to the hunters who dared to challenge such a force.
Running his fingers over the spear and shield, Jia Changjiang couldn’t wait to put them to the test.
As he finished cleaning the weapon of dust, Lumine arrived, waving enthusiastically.
“Jax! I found something we can do!” she called out.
“Oh? What is it? Are we taking on some Geovishaps or dealing with monsters? Tell me!” Jia Changjiang leapt to his feet, gripping the spear tightly. “I’ve been itching to test this thing out!”
Seeing the massive spear rise like a flagpole beside him, Lumine couldn’t help but comment. “Your new weapon is way too long! How are you supposed to sneak around with that?”
“Who cares about sneaking when you look this cool?” Jia Changjiang said, slinging the spear over his shoulder confidently.
“It does look cool,” Lumine admitted, rolling her eyes. “Anyway, here’s the deal. While I didn’t find any official commissions at the guild, I did hear that the Millelith have been gathering around the area near Dunyu Ruins and Tianqiu Valley. Something’s going on there.”
“My instincts tell me we can score big if we check it out!” she added eagerly.
Paimon chimed in, nodding. “Yeah, and there are tons of ruins in that area! If we find something valuable, we can sell it to the antique shops and make a fortune!”
“Ruins, huh?” Jia Changjiang seemed slightly disappointed but perked up quickly. “Alright, let’s check it out. Maybe we’ll run into something strong to fight. Aren’t there legends of rock dragons around there?”
With that, the group set off toward the ruins.

As they neared Dunyu Ruins, Lumine darted around like an excited child. She followed the glowing Seelie, knocked on random rocks, and combed through every nook and cranny to ensure she didn’t miss a single treasure chest.
Before long, they arrived at the reported location and encountered a Millelith soldier on patrol.
Upon spotting Jia Changjiang and Lumine, the soldier quickly saluted.
“Mr. Jia, Miss Lumine! What brings you here?”
“This area has been dangerous lately. It’s best if you avoid it—” The soldier paused mid-sentence, his gaze falling on the enormous spear strapped to Jia Changjiang’s back. For a moment, he was rendered speechless.
“What kind of danger?” Jia Changjiang asked, his enthusiasm evident. “Monsters? Bandits? Tell me—I’ll handle it!”
The soldier hesitated before explaining.
“Headquarters received multiple reports of Ruin Guards appearing in areas where they shouldn’t be. Upon investigation, we found that these guards seem to be emerging from one of the ancient ruins nearby.”
“Ruin Guards?” Jia Changjiang’s eyes lit up.
The towering machines would make excellent test subjects for his new weapon. He gripped the True Black Dragon Lance, practically brimming with anticipation.
There was no way he could pass up the chance to test the weapon’s immense power against such a challenge. He could already imagine the satisfaction of skewering a Ruin Guard with the colossal spear or blocking its attacks with the massive shield.
The Millelith continued. “The ruins themselves are still unexamined. Strange clanking sounds have been reported coming from within. For safety, headquarters has ordered all Millelith to avoid the area and focus on patrols to protect civilians.”
“Slow progress, huh? Still, it makes sense. Regular folks wouldn’t stand a chance against Ruin Guards,” Lumine remarked. “If we deal with the guards, would Liyue pay us a bonus?”
The soldier hesitated again, clearly unsure how to answer.
“Lady Ningguang or Lady Keqing might agree to that…”
“Perfect!” Lumine grinned confidently. “Unless they send four Ruin Guards at once, I can take care of them no problem!”
“In that case…” The Millelith gestured toward a nearby hillside. “I noticed some tracks leading in that direction earlier, but I haven’t had the chance to investigate. I’ll leave it to you.”
