I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [108]

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have we known each other?"

"About two thousand years."

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have you liked me?"

"A little over a thousand years."

"Huh? Not two thousand years?"

"At first, I saw you as my master."

"Oh? What kind of disciple spies on their master while they bathe?"

"Ah… youthful foolishness. Please forgive me."

---

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have we known each other?"

"Three thousand years now."

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have you liked me?"

"A little over two thousand years."

"Huh? Not three thousand years?"

"So much time has passed… my memory is hazy."

"You’ve grown dull, haven’t you? More somber than before."

"Have I? Perhaps the burdens of responsibility have tempered me."

"That kind of growth, I don’t care for. It’s stripped away what made you, you."

"Oh? Then what is it you like about me? Maybe I can change back."

---

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have we known each other?"

"Four thousand six hundred years. But don’t trouble yourself with such thoughts—your health is fragile now."

"Zhongli, oh Zhongli, how long have you liked me?"

"Four thousand six hundred years. From the moment I appeared in this world. From the first glance I stole of you, from the first sound of your voice, from the first wisp of your fragrance. I have always liked you."

"Ah, what a sweet-talking liar! But I remember you saying before that you didn’t like me at first."

"Perhaps I was shy back then. I’ve always, always loved you. For all eternity."

"Even if this world ends? Even if my life is lost?"

"Even then. I will reach into the river of time, pull you from its flow, and love you still. This is the final contract between us, and it is also the first."

"Ah… thank you. On the day I die, I’ll look forward to waking from my long dream and seeing you again."

"That is our absolute, unbreakable contract."

Lost in faint memories of distant years, Zhongli’s focus wavered.

With a subtle shift of his gaze, he saw the two gods had drawn close.

Their immense power stirred the sands and waves, shrouding Liyue Harbor in chaos. Yet, the small patch of land at Yujing Terrace remained untouched—an island of calm amid the storm.

Though separated by only a hundred meters, the gap between the gods and Zhongli might as well have been an unbridgeable chasm.

Nine pairs of eyes—those of the Vortex God and the God of Dust—fixed on him. Hatred and primal fear burned within their gaze, directed toward the figure standing before them.

"Be still," Zhongli said, his tone measured and emotionless. "According to the final contract, you must wait a little longer."

He extended a hand and pressed it gently downward.

An invisible force descended upon the gods, pinning them in place. The God of Dust collapsed, prostrate on the ground, her ethereal grace reduced to a humbled sprawl. The Vortex God, its massive form coiled like a serpent, lay motionless, unable to rise.

Zhongli’s voice, calm and deliberate, carried across the battlefield to all who could hear.

"This is the end."

"The moment of ultimate chaos has arrived. Qingyun, Guizhong… I’m coming to retrieve you both."

The three sacrificial relics encircling him began to rise, glowing softly as they ascended higher and higher, until they hung among the stars themselves.

A beam of radiant light descended, carving through the heavens to form a glowing, circular gateway adorned with intricate patterns.

Ganyu’s breath caught as she stared at the celestial doorway. Strange markings etched into its surface seemed to depict the passage of time itself. In just a glance, she saw millennia of change—the rise and fall of mountains, the fleeting existence of the Seven Archons, and the steady rule of Celestia.

Then her eyes began to bleed.

Beside her, the Traveler sat calmly, sipping tea as if immune to the spectacle’s effects.

"With your mortal reasoning, such things are not yet meant for you to see," Zhongli said gently, his voice reaching Ganyu’s ears. "Even adepti more powerful than you cannot endure gazing at this for long."

After a moment of reflection, he ascended. Each step seemed to tread upon invisible stairs, leading him higher and higher until he stood before the gateway in the stars.

He reached out, pushing the door open ever so slightly.

A crushing force emanated from the opening, and Ganyu immediately collapsed under its weight. She could no longer lift her head.

"Now is not the time for you to look. If you wish to keep your mind intact, remain still," Zhongli said, his tone as serene as ever, unchanged from how he had always spoken to her.

The soft groan of the gateway opening reverberated through the air.

Even without looking, Ganyu could envision the scene.

The Traveler, too, sat silently, holding her cup as the gods, paralyzed on the ground, fell eerily silent. Their ears strained toward the sound of the door, seemingly transfixed.

The gateway creaked wider.

For an instant, Ganyu’s mind conjured a fleeting vision of the world beyond it.

Streams of elemental energy cascaded in endless torrents. Every mortal, every wielder of Visions, and even the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles herself seemed insignificant in comparison.

And beyond that vast expanse…

A single golden eye slowly opened.

Its pale gold hue felt hauntingly familiar, yet neither Ganyu nor the Traveler could place where they had seen it before.

Reflected in its gaze were the two of them seated at the stone table, the gods lying prone, and the storm-ravaged Liyue Harbor.

Then it widened, capturing the entirety of Liyue—its soaring mountains, rushing rivers, and sprawling plains.

Finally, it encompassed all of Teyvat, a world shaped by elemental forces, its truths and secrets laid bare.
