I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [111]

Three days had passed since the turmoil caused by the Archon. Surprisingly, the event seemed to have had little impact on the merchants here.
After a brief moment of thought, the Traveler found it reasonable.
In Teyvat, encountering monsters and Hilichurls while traveling was far too commonplace. As long as there were no significant damages, people would resume their routines within a day or two—after all, skipping work meant no Mora, and without Mora, there was no food.
In this vast world, Mora reigned supreme.
Even with the revival of an Archon or the death of the Geo Archon himself, sorrow could not delay earnings, and fear could not hinder business.
This was the perfect reflection of Liyue, the land of merchants and contracts.
Early in the morning, the Traveler and Paimon sought out Ganyu.
As the secretary of the Qixing, Ganyu had lost her contractual bond with Liyue due to the passing of the Geo Archon. However, her love for Liyue naturally led her to sign a new contract with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. This contract lasted for 999 years, with a work schedule of 9-5-5: nine hours a day, five days a week, with two days off.
To the Traveler, it seemed unlikely Ganyu would ever make use of those rest days.
That qilin, at her core, was undoubtedly a workaholic.
For her, work wasn’t just duty; it was joy and passion.
Such an extraordinary passion for work might very well be admired by all members of the Qixing.
The Traveler, however, could only laugh awkwardly at such dedication. Nevertheless, she was more than happy to have someone like Ganyu handling tasks for her.
Sitting seriously at her desk in her usual one-piece tights, which gave her an elegant yet innocent appearance, Ganyu handed over some prepared documents to the Traveler.
The Traveler, while silently marveling at the sight of Ganyu’s shapely legs encased in black tights, maintained her usual calm expression as she accepted the documents.
"Here... This is the notice about your brother, Miss Lumine. We will post it in every area under our control. From what I’ve heard, the adepti are also searching for your brother."
"Thank you."
After politely expressing her gratitude, the Traveler saw that there were no further matters and was about to leave when a soft voice stopped her.
"Do you think... Morax succeeded in the end? Until the very last moment, he remained gentle, harming not a single soul in Liyue. Was he able to obtain what he desired?"
"Of course!"
The Traveler turned back, giving a firm thumbs-up and a bright, toothy smile.

After leaving Ganyu’s office and walking onto the streets of Liyue, the Traveler encountered an unexpected figure.
In his familiar, refined golden attire, Zhongli strolled leisurely through the streets, unchanged from before.
The Traveler froze, rubbed her eyes, and exchanged a bewildered glance with the equally shocked Paimon, confirming that the sight was no illusion.
The Traveler quickly chased after Zhongli's figure, navigating through twists and turns until she stopped before a building.
Zhongli paused, turned to look at her, and spoke calmly.
"It has been some time, Traveler. Are you well?"
Lumine, though stunned to the point of nearly exclaiming, managed to compose herself. She nodded slightly at Zhongli.
"Greetings, Geo Archon... No, Mister Zhongli."
"Hm, our contract remains incomplete," Zhongli said evenly. "Come inside. There is something I must tell you—a reason for everything I’ve done."
"An honest conversation after everything is over," he continued.
"Though it’s a bit late, I ask for your understanding."
Lumine nodded. After witnessing a dragon with seven heads, a single tail, nine claws, and crowned with seven distinct coronets, how could she hold a grudge?
"Very well, lead the way."
Zhongli pushed open the door of the building, and it was only then that the Traveler noticed the sign hanging above it:
"Northland Bank."
She hesitated for a moment but didn’t dwell on it and followed him inside.
Inside, the Traveler was greeted by two familiar figures. One was Childe, wrapped in his signature red scarf. The other was La Signora, her alabaster legs and smooth, voluptuous figure as striking as ever.
The Traveler muttered inwardly, Thank you, while cautiously stepping forward to stand beside Zhongli.
"It seems everyone is here," Zhongli remarked, his gaze sweeping over the three present. His voice remained calm.
"Today, I intend to fulfill our unfinished contract.
"First, Lady Signora. You represent Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa. As stipulated in our agreement, I shall hand over my Gnosis now that the ordained chaos has concluded."
Zhongli extended his hand into the air, retrieving a gemstone that shimmered faintly with golden light, and handed it to Signora.
Signora, uncharacteristically, was neither arrogant nor overbearing. Instead, she bowed slightly, accepting the Gnosis with both hands.
"Thank you for your fairness and generosity. On behalf of Her Majesty, I convey our deepest gratitude."
"Wait a second! You two had this kind of arrangement all along?" Childe interrupted with a sharp tone. "No one ever told me about this!"
"Hmph," Signora scoffed lightly, her voice tinged with derision. "It wouldn’t have made any difference whether you knew or not. As a warrior, all you need to do is fulfill your duties. After all, that’s all you’re good for."
Her tone turned mocking. "By the way, I must say it’s hilarious. In the end, you couldn’t even defeat this little girl standing before you. Truly laughable."
"Tch!" Childe sneered. "Little girl? You really think this Traveler is just a little girl? I look forward to the day you face her in combat. It’ll be quite the show."
"Don’t let her scare you so much that you drop your weapon."
"Do you think I would be like you?" Signora retorted, her tone icy.
"No, of course not," Childe replied with a dry laugh. "After all, Lady Signora, you’re far stronger and more beautiful than I could ever hope to be."
He seemed to lose interest in the argument, his voice turning melancholic.
"In the end, I’m just a clown."
