The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [200]

Clang!

The tip of Jia Changjiang’s iron spear slashed across Childe’s throat but failed to pierce the Foul Legacy Form's armored defenses. Under the pressure of their crossing forces, the spearhead shattered into fragments.

“Are you trying to tickle me?”

Lightning roared around Childe as a massive thunderbolt struck where Jia Changjiang had stood moments before. The ground exploded, leaving behind a charred crater.

Jia Changjiang, who had narrowly dodged the attack, licked his dry lips. Though his body had grown immensely stronger since arriving in this world, and his titles granted him some resistance to elemental attacks, the sheer force of Childe’s lightning could not be underestimated.

Getting hit by that would probably fry me to a crisp, he thought grimly.

Worse, even with all his strength focused on his spear thrust, the weapon had failed to breach Childe’s defense.

“Jia Changjiang, are you alright?” Lumine hurried to his side, her voice laced with concern.

“Missed the mark. Don’t worry about me.”

Jia Changjiang dropped the broken spear, his gaze fixed on Childe, who stood unchallenged in the center of the Golden House, his power on full display.

“Normal weapons can’t hurt him… What a shame. I’d have loved to use my battle-axe right about now, but I already gave it to Noelle. As for the rest…”

Jia Changjiang’s mind raced, searching for a solution.

“What about the bow you used against Andrius?” Lumine suggested. “You could bring that out!”

“That thing drains too much energy. If this goes long, I might not have anything left for what’s next. Let’s deal with him first.”

Jia Changjiang’s calm response made Lumine pause before she assessed their options.

“Since transforming, he’s been a lot more reckless—and that power looks like it’s taking a toll on him.” She analyzed Childe’s movements. “What if we dragged this fight out? Could we win by exhausting him?”

“Good idea. But here’s the real question…”

Jia Changjiang grabbed Lumine and bolted to the side as a massive hydro projectile crashed down where they’d stood moments before.

“…how do we stall him?”

Lumine glanced at Childe, bit her lip, and then growled through her teeth. “We fight!”

“We’ve already beaten something like Dvalin together. There’s no way I’m backing down from him!”

Lumine clenched her fist and punched Jia Changjiang in the chest.

“Back in Mondstadt, we let Signora walk all over us. Not this time! These Harbingers don’t get to mess with me twice!”

She straightened, anger blazing in her eyes.

“I never let anyone take advantage of me. If anyone’s getting their way, it’s me! You hear me? He’s going to pay the price for framing us!”

Her declaration hung in the air, brimming with righteous fury.

Childe turned his attention to them, his thunder spear crackling as he prepared to attack.

“You’re going down!”

Lumine’s chest glowed, the energies of Anemo and Geo intertwining and alternating with a brilliant light.

Meanwhile, the ground above—where they had fallen from—began to crystallize rapidly. The remains of Lumine’s Starfell Sword and Geo spikes fused, forming a massive crystalline structure that grew outward and downward like an inverted stalactite.

“Jia Changjiang!” Lumine called out, determination sharp in her voice. “Buy me time! Use every trick you’ve got!”

Her gaze burned with resolve. “I’m ending this—no one can stop me now!”

Jia Changjiang’s grin returned.

There she is. The fearless Lumine I know.

He cracked his knuckles, slipping on his gauntlets.

“If someone dares wrong you, we make sure they regret it.”

Jia Changjiang crouched slightly, his fists colliding with a resounding clang.

“Let’s make him pay right now.”

Then, like a spring uncoiling, he launched himself at Childe. The ground where he’d been standing splintered and cracked from the sheer force of his takeoff.

“Bring it!”

Childe and Jia Changjiang collided mid-air like two cannonballs.

Jia Changjiang weaved past Childe’s spear, raining blows upon his armored form with fists, elbows, and knees. Every joint became a weapon, striking wherever an opening appeared.

“Keep your eyes on me!” Jia Changjiang shouted as he pushed Childe back, ensuring the Harbinger couldn’t even glance toward Lumine.

Childe roared, matching Jia Changjiang blow for blow. Lightning crackled in his spear, but Jia Changjiang skillfully deflected or absorbed each attack with his gauntlets.

Meanwhile, Lumine focused entirely on the massive Geo crystal forming above.

Paimon, huddled at a safe distance, glanced upward—and froze in terror.

“Wha—what’s that?! The ceiling’s disappearing!”

The enormous Geo structure had engulfed the hole they had fallen through, spreading across the cavern’s roof like a stone glacier. Its translucent edges shimmered with an ominous golden glow.

Realization struck Paimon. That’s not Childe’s doing… That’s Lumine!

“Jia Changjiang!” Lumine’s shout echoed through the chamber. “Get ready!”

Jia Changjiang noticed the structure above for the first time. For a split second, he thought she might be planning to crush him along with Childe. But when she called out, he knew better.

Gripping Childe’s arm mid-swing, Jia Changjiang used sheer strength to hurl the Harbinger upward.

“What—?!” Childe barely had time to react before a sudden gust of wind wrapped around him, twisting his cloak over his face.

“Ugh!” Childe struggled, temporarily blinded.

Lumine smirked.

Directly from Barbatos himself—never underestimate the power of a flying cape!

With her free hand, Lumine directed the massive Geo crystal downward.

“Fall!”

The crystalline structure, like a meteor, descended slowly at first. But as it picked up speed, its immense weight and size made it unstoppable.

Lumine erected a smaller Geo shield around herself, waving Jia Changjiang over.

“This way!”

Above, Childe finally freed himself from his tangled cloak, only to find the enormous Geo meteor mere feet from his face.

“Impossible!” Childe roared as the massive construct bore down on him, its shadow swallowing the chamber whole.
