The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [198]

The broad-bladed greatsword came crashing down, meeting Childe’s lightning spear in a violent collision.

Jia Changjiang’s arms strained with effort, veins bulging as his muscles tensed. His heartbeat pounded like a war drum, an unrelenting rhythm that matched the chaos of the battlefield.

For this battle, Jia Changjiang had prepared extensively, purchasing every weapon in Liyue Harbor that caught his eye. He was ready to face the youngest Fatui Harbinger, Childe.

Despite his youth—Childe was even younger than Jia Changjiang—he had fought countless battles and mastered a vast array of weapons.

Finally facing someone who not only enjoyed battle as much as he did but excelled at it, Jia Changjiang couldn’t help but feel exhilarated.

This wasn’t a fight against beasts like Dvalin or Andrius, nor was it a measured duel against strategic minds like Diluc or Jean.

This was pure, unbridled combat.

As their weapons clashed and shattered, Jia Changjiang simply grabbed another from his stash and continued fighting.

Injuries didn’t matter. If they didn’t stop him, they weren’t worth acknowledging.

His only goal was to push forward.

With that determination, Jia Changjiang drew another sword from his system space, stepped closer, and plunged it into Childe’s shoulder.

But the price was steep—Childe’s lightning spear pierced Jia Changjiang’s side in retaliation.

Unfazed, Jia Changjiang gritted his teeth as electricity coursed through his body. It felt like he was being roasted alive, but instead of pulling back, he reached out and grabbed Childe by the collar.

BAM!

Their foreheads collided with a sickening thud, leaving both men momentarily dazed. Jia Changjiang fell backward into a pile of Mora, while Childe staggered a few steps before shaking his head to clear it.

“Jia Changjiang!” Lumine called out in alarm as she saw him fall. But trusting his resilience, she turned her focus back to Childe.

Childe, now empowered by his Delusion, moved like a bolt of lightning through the Golden House. His agility made him hard to follow, even for Lumine’s sharp eyes.

Though she could anticipate his movements, her speed wasn’t enough to keep up. Her only option was to evade and wait for an opening.

Her sword, shrouded in wind, clashed with Childe’s lightning spear. Simultaneously, Geo energy flowed from her feet into the ground, gathering steadily beneath the surface.

“Your swordplay is intriguing… but that’s all it is!” Childe taunted, thrusting his spear toward her.

He pushed Lumine to the edge of the platform, where piles of Mora shimmered in the golden light. With her back to the coins, Lumine had no room to maneuver.

As Childe charged, Lumine focused her energy.

Turn to dust!

She stomped forward, unleashing the accumulated Geo energy. The ground erupted into jagged, crystalline spikes, aiming to impale Childe from every angle.

Caught off guard, Childe was forced to halt his advance. He leapt into the air, narrowly avoiding the spikes, but Lumine’s expression told him she wasn’t done yet.

Perfect, she thought.

From the pile of Mora behind her, Jia Changjiang emerged, a massive bow in hand. Though the weapon was simple, the arrows nocked on the string glowed with elemental energy—crafted from rare materials.

“I’ll show you how to use a bow properly!” Jia Changjiang shouted, loosing the arrows.

The projectiles streaked toward Childe, who remained airborne, their elemental energies illuminating the air.

“Lumine!”

“Got it!”

Lumine clapped her hands together, summoning a vortex of wind. It engulfed the arrows and Childe, intensifying as it pulled everything into its swirling center.

“Now!”

Jia Changjiang’s eyes gleamed as he clenched his fist.

Detonate!

The arrows erupted in the storm, their elemental energies reacting violently. Fire, lightning, water, and ice collided in a spectacular explosion, filling the air with blinding light and deafening sound.

Lumine wasn’t done.

Starfell Sword!

Geo constructs erupted from the ground, encircling the explosion and sealing Childe within a cage of rock.

“Take that!” Lumine exclaimed, confident in their victory. “You’re not the only one who can use multiple elements!”

“Woohoo! We won!” Paimon cheered.

But Jia Changjiang, pulling himself from the Mora pile, wasn’t celebrating.

“Don’t get ahead of yourselves,” he warned. “This fight’s not over yet.”

“What?!” Lumine blinked in surprise.

“Our goal wasn’t just to fight Childe—we’re here to stop him from achieving his objective.” Jia Changjiang’s gaze shifted toward the Exuvia.

Realizing what he meant, Lumine turned toward the dragon remains.

As the dust settled, Childe was no longer in the cage of rock. Instead, he stood atop the Exuvia, his clothes torn but his confidence unshaken.

“That was close,” Childe admitted, smiling. “If I hadn’t been prepared, you might’ve seriously hurt me.”

“HE’S AT THE EXUVIA!” Paimon shrieked in panic.

“Calm down,” Childe said, laughing as if they were amateurs.

“To achieve your goals, you must be willing to take risks. Any seasoned warrior knows that.”

Purple lightning crackled around him as he raised his hand toward the Exuvia.

“For the Tsaritsa… this is but a small price to pay!”

With that, Childe plunged his hand, charged with Delusion-born lightning, toward the Exuvia.
