I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [49]

"Wait for me, Nana-chan!"

A young girl with short golden hair, resembling a lively puppy, came running breathlessly up the hill.

"Slow down, Michuru!"

Nana, a cheerful girl with pink hair in her school uniform, turned back with a radiant smile and grabbed her friend’s hand.

“This year, we’re in the same class again! Let’s have a great year together, Michuru.”

“Mm!” Inukai Michuru nodded earnestly, her hand quietly intertwining with Nana’s.

Their fingers interlocked, soft and delicate, like a silent promise.

The two childhood friends, who had known each other since middle school, walked hand in hand along the path to school.

The long slope was lined with cherry blossom trees, their petals fluttering gently in the spring breeze.

As the girls passed, the hem of their skirts caught the wind, rustling the fallen blossoms on the ground.

Step by step, they moved forward with lighthearted laughter, as though untouched by any worries, yearning for a new beginning.

Time seemed to slip away in an instant, and before they realized it, they were standing before the gate of their new high school.

[Japan Archipelago Superhuman Committee First Educational High School]
[Kyoto High School]

“This feels like a dream,” Nana said, resting a hand on the back of her head with a silly grin.

“I never imagined I’d actually get into such a rare and prestigious school. Do you think I’ll become someone important in the future?”

“Geez, Nana-chan, don’t get carried away,” Michuru replied, glancing around nervously before leaning in to whisper. “You only got in because you fudged your application and claimed to have mind-reading abilities. Be careful not to get found out!”

“Haha! Don’t worry about it,” Nana replied with a wink. “Technically, my mind-reading ability is rated E—basically useless for anything, so no one has any expectations of me. Besides, I’m great at reading the room. That practically counts as mind-reading!”

She struck a goofy pose with a thumbs-up, mimicking a clueless anime character.

“Stop doing that, Nana-chan! It’s so embarrassing!” Michuru tugged at Nana’s sleeve, her face flushed with embarrassment.

“Come on, Michuru. You’re still as shy as ever,” Nana teased, raising an eyebrow. “Look over there.”

Michuru followed Nana’s gaze and saw a group of students gathered together.

“Who are they?” she asked curiously.

“Those are two of the Four Geniuses of this year’s class,” Nana explained, her face lighting up. “The chubby one is Moguo Iijima, a superhuman with heat manipulation powers who can generate fire and high temperatures. The skinny one is Seiya Kori, who can create ice and extreme cold.”

“Apparently, they’re already lined up to join the prestigious Thermal Dynamics Superhuman Research Institute after graduation. That institute has been behind some groundbreaking advancements in superconducting materials and cryogenic technology recently!”

“Wow, that’s impressive…” Michuru trailed off as she watched the two boys bicker, their powers manifesting as bursts of fire and frost. “Wait, are they about to fight? Someone’s going to get hurt! I need to grab a first aid kit!”

“You should probably grab a teacher too!” Nana said with mock urgency, though her voice carried a teasing tone. “I heard temperature manipulators are total muscleheads. But seriously, it’s 2077! Mars already has a colony thanks to adaptive nano-armor developed by some immortal superhuman. Why are superhumans still solving their disputes with fistfights?”

“They must not realize that modern Superhuman Mimicry Armor can replicate any ability! Even the legendary Dr. Tesla, the so-called strongest superhuman, couldn’t defeat an army of a hundred soldiers in that gear.”

A cool voice suddenly chimed in from beside her.

Startled, Nana jumped back a step, turning to see a tall, stoic boy in a white lab coat.

“Hello, Nana-chan. Mind-reader extraordinaire, right?” he said with a smirk. “I’m Kyouya Onodera, an immortal superhuman and one of the researchers behind that Mars nano-armor you mentioned.”

Nana blinked in surprise, momentarily speechless. “Oh, uh… nice to meet you!”

“Likewise. I’ll be your classmate for the next three years.” Kyouya adjusted his lab coat and strolled toward the school building, his hands in his pockets.

As Michuru remained absent, a boy with a commanding presence stepped forward, effortlessly stopping the fight between the two temperature manipulators.

He touched the fireball in one hand and the ice shard in the other, snuffing both out without breaking a sweat.

With just a few calm words, he managed to make the two shake hands, defusing the situation entirely.

“What kind of power is that?” Nana murmured to herself, intrigued by her first encounter with so many unique superhumans.

“That’s Nanao Nakajima,” a quiet female voice answered from behind her. “He’s an ability eraser—every superhuman’s worst nightmare.”

This time, Nana didn’t startle. Instead, she casually reached behind her, grabbing the hand of the girl who had spoken.

“Haruharu, you’re here too?” Nana asked with a grin. “How’s Uncle? My dad’s been saying he wants him to bring you over to visit more often.”

Leaning closer, she whispered playfully in the girl’s ear, “I’ve missed you… in more ways than one.”

Koharu Mishima shivered slightly, her hand caught in Nana’s firm grip. She hesitated to use her powers, worried about hurting Nana, and could only let herself be held.

“Ugh!” she groaned, nibbling nervously on her lip as a faint sheen of sweat appeared on her delicate skin.

“Um, what are you two doing?” Michuru’s voice interrupted them, breaking the tension.

Nana quickly let go of Koharu and turned with a wide smile.

“Michuru! Let me introduce you to my childhood friend. Her dad and my dad used to work together at the same research institute!”

Michuru bowed politely. “Hello, I’m Inukai Michuru. I’m Nana’s middle school classmate and friend. It’s nice to meet you.”

Koharu stepped back slightly, bowing in return. “Hello, Resurrection Queen. Thank you for your contributions to medical science.”

“Oh, no! I don’t deserve such praise,” Michuru stammered, blushing. “I only let them study my powers. It wasn’t anything special.”

“That’s not true,” Koharu said seriously. “The world’s first superhuman once said, ‘Superhumans exist to make the world a better place.’ You’ve embodied that sentiment through your actions.”

“All right, enough with the heavy stuff!” Nana interjected, grabbing both of their hands with a mischievous grin. “Let’s talk about the rosy high school life ahead of us!”

Their fingers intertwined, delicate and warm.

This spring was filled with the scent of citrus and the sweet fragrance of lilies.

Atop the long hill, golden sunlight bathed the cherry blossoms in a heavenly glow.

Underneath one of the trees, a solitary stone table stood, where three figures sat sipping tea and watching the lively students pass by.

Despite the peculiar sight, none of the students paid the trio any attention, as though they existed in a different realm entirely.

After a long silence, the white-haired boy at the table muttered a curse.

“Trash!”

The tallest of the three, a man of almost divine beauty, shook his head lightly. “Her soul has burned completely, stabilizing the timeline as an anchor point.”

“But I’ve restored her memories. Over time, they’ll return naturally.”

“Tch.” Accelerator downed his tea in one gulp, crunching the leaves between his teeth.

“I’m done here. This was a waste of time—no gains, and I’m exhausted. Absolute trash!”

With a shift in the air, he vanished, leaving no trace behind.

Puri Puri Prisoner chuckled, sipping his tea daintily. “Boy sure looks happy, doesn’t he? Who knew Nana had such interests? If she ever rejoins the chat group, I’ll have to ask her all about it!”

He stood, waved theatrically to Zhongli, and disappeared.

Zhongli watched them go, then picked up a glowing, multifaceted object from the table.

“Our contract is fulfilled. I reshaped this world, revived the good, and buried the evil.”

“In exchange, I gained access to the new timeline and partial authority over the chat group.”

“A fair trade.”

With a clap of his hands, a glowing golden door appeared before him. He stepped through without hesitation, leaving the dreamlike scene to dissolve into nothingness.

Back in the new world, Nana whispered to Koharu late one evening, her fingers lightly tracing the girl’s skin:

“I’ve been having strange dreams lately—about a world before this one. In that world, I shot you with my own hands. Michuru died saving me... I begged a god for this life. That’s why this world feels like a miracle.”

Koharu trembled, then grabbed Nana’s hand. “You kissed me, then Michuru saved you? You sneaky cat! You just want to ditch me for her, don’t you?”

“Wait, no!” Nana panicked, but her words were cut off as she pressed her lips to Koharu’s.

Her fingers trailed down Koharu’s back, tracing soft patterns.

“Ah… Stop… not again!” Koharu whimpered, her body trembling under Nana’s touch.
