The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [219]

Above Lumine, the massive elemental creation formed from Adepti power and raw Geo energy continued to grow. To support its immense weight, even the Jade Chamber had shifted to assist, its platform bearing the colossal construct.

Lumine concentrated, visualizing the form of her creation—a spear, vast and unyielding, carved from Geo and reinforced by the might of Liyue’s protectors.

---

As the spear began to take shape, Jia Changjiang remained locked in a ferocious battle with Osial.

The clash of the two titanic figures sent thunderous shockwaves rippling across the ocean, their resonance carrying all the way to Liyue Harbor.

A growing number of citizens, drawn by the sounds of the battle, stepped outside to witness the confrontation.

From the harbor, they could see the giant wrestling with the Vortex God. Though they did not know its identity, many began to speculate that this enormous figure was the same Taisui Star God whose voice had reverberated across the city.

For some, the sight of the giant evoked memories of their loved ones among the Millelith. The shape of its shoulders, the strength in its arms—it bore an uncanny resemblance to the soldiers who had vowed to protect Liyue.

Despite the giant’s fearsome and ominous appearance, it stood firmly between Osial and the city.

Even when battered, even when forced back by Osial’s monstrous power, the giant refused to yield, always facing the god head-on, its broad back shielding Liyue.

Upon the giant’s back glowed a crimson Exorcism Seal, emanating a potent light that countered the oppressive aura of the Vortex God.

In the harbor, some of the onlookers felt their breathing ease, their fear dissipating as the seal’s power seemed to extend its protection to them.

“That’s the Exorcism Seal,” Chongyun murmured, standing beneath the eaves of a building. His gaze was fixed on the giant. “It’s a technique to suppress internal corruption… but how is it driving back Osial’s aura over the entire city?”

Beside him, Xingqiu tilted his head, shielding his face from the rain with his hand. “Fascinating. I’ve read no mention of a ‘Taisui Star God’ in any of Liyue’s texts. Could it be an unrecorded Adeptus?”

Elsewhere, Beidou stood atop a raised platform, one boot braced against the railing as she drank deeply from her flask. She watched with unrestrained excitement as the giant wrestled Osial’s serpentine heads, slamming one into the sea.

“Now that’s what I call a fight!” Beidou exclaimed, her voice carrying over the rain.

“Captain, take a look!” one of her sailors, Xu Liushi, called out. “Doesn’t that giant look a little like the guy who bought those floating stones from us?”

Beidou laughed heartily. “You mean that Mondstadt hero? Come on, Xu, don’t be ridiculous. He might be strong, but there’s no way he’s that strong!”

“Then why are we up here watching this?” Xu Liushi muttered, exasperated.

“Simple. A fight like this is something you don’t see every day!” Beidou grinned. “And besides, this’ll help us plan our next move.”

Zhongli stood beneath a pavilion, his Geo shield repelling the rain with effortless grace.

For this final battle, he had chosen not to watch as Morax, the Geo Archon. Instead, he observed as Zhongli, a mortal witness to a momentous struggle.

Setting aside his teacup, Zhongli stepped outside, gazing toward the battlefield.

“Like a divine champion descended from the heavens,” he murmured, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “Truly, a Taisui God among mortals.”

It had been centuries since he’d felt such anticipation.

Unaware of how many eyes were upon him, Jia Changjiang focused solely on the battle.

Locked in combat with Osial, he grappled with two of its massive heads, their fangs tearing into his giant form. Osial sought to rend him apart, but Jia Changjiang refused to give in, his grip on the serpent heads tightening with unrelenting strength.

Then, a voice rang out from above.

“Jia Changjiang! The preparations are almost complete!”

He looked up to see Lumine standing atop the Jade Chamber. A colossal spear, shimmering with the light of countless elemental energies, stood at the ready. The Adepti worked tirelessly around it, channeling their power to stabilize its form.

At the helm of the Jade Chamber, Ningguang maneuvered the platform closer to Jia Changjiang. Her voice carried across the battlefield:

“Jia Changjiang! No more hesitation! Give it everything you’ve got!”

Jia Changjiang’s lips curled into a grin. Breaking free of Osial’s grasp, he leapt back, putting distance between himself and the Vortex God.

The massive spear, imbued with the combined strength of mortals and Adepti, descended from the Jade Chamber. The giant caught it with both hands, its form glowing brighter as the weapon fused with its being.

“Go, Jia Changjiang!” Lumine called from above, pointing her sword at Osial. “End this battle once and for all!”

The giant’s voice boomed across the heavens as it raised the spear high.

“Ancient god of the seas…”

The spear’s tip blazed with energy, aimed squarely at Osial.

“…Behold the weapon forged by mortals and Adepti alike…”

The giant charged forward, each step causing the ocean to quake. With the spear raised, Jia Changjiang let out a thunderous roar.

“OSIAL!”

“WITNESS THIS!!!”

“This spear, a symbol of a new era… forged for the people of Liyue!”

“THE SPEAR OF LIYUE!!!”
