I, the Geo Archon Morax with 2.1 Billion Mora, Have Joined a Chat Group [75]

The three beast-form adepti and the Vigilant Yaksha, appearing as a youthful figure, gathered at the highest floor of the inn to deliberate.
Today’s events had been too bewildering, surpassing their ability to process individually.
Seated around the dining table, the adepti allowed themselves a moment to regain their composure.
Breaking the silence, Mountain Shaper spoke first. “What do you all make of today’s events?”
Cloud Retainer remained silent, her avian gaze contemplative. River Carver exchanged glances with the others but also chose not to speak.
Mountain Shaper pressed again. “And why has Madam Ping not joined us? We sent a talisman summoning her, did we not?”
River Carver shook his head slightly. “It seems Madam Ping has declined our summons. She remains in Liyue Harbor, closer to the mortal realm and more aligned with the Qixing. I suspect she knows more about the current situation than we do.”
He paused before adding, “It’s also possible she was present at the Rite of Descension.”
Mountain Shaper’s expression hardened. “Hmph! She’s always been like this, too close to mortals and too quick to forget the distinction between adeptus and human. Never mind her for now—let us focus on the matter at hand.”
The Vigilant Yaksha spoke coldly. “Our priority is to uncover the truth of the Geo Archon’s death.”
Cloud Retainer narrowed her eyes, her typically sharp gaze tinged with thoughtfulness. “But... did the Geo Archon truly perish?”
Her question plunged the adepti into a heavy silence.
What were those golden eyes in the sky?
Even after centuries of knowing the Geo Archon, they couldn’t decipher the nature of what they had seen.
What connection did the mysterious Overseer have to the Archon?
And the First Apostle, Fu Hua, who bore an uncanny resemblance to QIngyun—what role did she play in this enigma?
The more they pondered, the more they felt caught in the whirlpool of an unfolding crisis that threatened to engulf Liyue and even themselves.
It was clear that these events could reshape Liyue’s destiny.
“Amid such confusion, we must analyze calmly.”
River Carver, the most composed among them, began to break things down systematically.
“First and foremost, we must ascertain whether the Geo Archon is truly dead. The Traveler’s words alone are insufficient to draw any conclusions, as we have yet to see a body.”
“If the Geo Archon lives, then all matters will fall under his guidance, and we will follow his lead.”
“If he has indeed been assassinated, however, there are many actions we must take.”
Mountain Shaper nodded in agreement. “Well said. If the Geo Archon is dead, our next step is to identify the assassin.”
“Based on what we’ve seen, the so-called Apostles of Outer Order certainly had the motive and power to carry out the deed.”
“However, Liyue Harbor is the Geo Archon’s domain, meticulously overseen by the Qixing. From food to shelter, life to death, their authority is absolute. For an assassin to enter, kill the Archon, and leave unnoticed seems... highly improbable.”
“Even the Overseer we glimpsed today couldn’t have managed such a feat.”
Xiao inclined his head slightly. “By logical reasoning, it’s entirely possible that someone within the Qixing acted as an accomplice.”
“Hmph!” Cloud Retainer scoffed, her feathers ruffling slightly. “I agree. Did the Geo Archon not mention it himself? During last year’s Rite of Descension, Keqing, the Yuheng of the Qixing, openly questioned his relevance. Such a person, harboring doubts about the Archon, has been allowed to remain in power. The Geo Archon was always too lenient with mortals.”
She glanced at the Traveler, adding pointedly, “Of course, mortals as sincere as you, Traveler, are worthy of favor.”
Her oddly phrased compliment drew raised eyebrows from the others, who stared at her in mild surprise.
Cloud Retainer coughed awkwardly, redirecting the conversation. “Regardless, we cannot march directly into Liyue Harbor. If the Qixing truly harbor a traitor, our arrival would spring their trap.”
“And with the Qixing no longer entirely trustworthy, there is only one person in Liyue whom we can rely on.”
“Who?” Mountain Shaper asked.
“Ganyu.”
River Carver’s response was immediate. “Among those in Liyue, she is the least likely to betray the Geo Archon. As a half-adeptus, she understands his burdens better than any mortal ever could.”
“Agreed.” Xiao nodded, though a trace of concern flickered in his expression. “But... she rarely leaves Liyue Harbor. That presents a challenge.”
Cloud Retainer took over. “Which is why we need someone to act as a messenger. If Ganyu can be reached and convinced to guide us to the Geo Archon’s body, we can use adeptal techniques to confirm whether the remains are genuine.”
Her gaze, along with the others’, fell upon the Traveler, who was quietly savoring almond tofu.
Startled, the Traveler put down her chopsticks, her expression one of dawning realization.
Paimon, always quick to react, flew forward with her arms crossed. “Hold on a second! Sure, we can deliver a message, but this sounds dangerous! There’s gotta be some kind of reward for this.”
“What reward do you seek?” Mountain Shaper asked. “If it is within our power, we will grant it.”
The Traveler hesitated for a moment before replying softly, “Please... help me find my brother.”
“Done,” Cloud Retainer agreed without hesitation. “If you succeed in this task, we will search all of Liyue for your brother.”
The Traveler nodded, her acceptance simple and resolute.
Paimon, however, was less satisfied. “That’s not enough! Do you know how many dangers Lumine could face? Between the Qixing and those Apostles of Outer Order, they’re sure to come after her!”
“True.” Mountain Shaper frowned. “We also do not yet understand the Apostles’ ultimate goal.”

Outer order is better. Law seems more fitting as a name for concepts to comprehend. It also just seems a bit unfitting as an organizations name
