"Weekly" Progress Report
Added 2025-02-11 14:04:10 +0000 UTCHey everyone !
This post is coming one day early because I'll probably be too busy tomorrow and will end up forgetting about it.
Things are progressing pretty well for next update and there's a few things I want to talk about.
However, I would lie if I said things are progressing as fast as I thought it would. My bad there, I kept adding more and more to something that was already really long so I still haven't even finished Lucy's content for next update yet.
But that's what I wanted to talk about today. Lucy's new mission is going to be a huge part of next update with the reappearance of 2 characters we haven't seen for a while + a new transformation + multiple puzzles + multiple scenes and so on...
It's a big piece of work, required me to map a lot of stuff, design a few puzzles and overall it took a while (and it's not even finished xD).
Talking about puzzles, you know me I always try to make things interesting so it won't be the usual boulder pushing puzzle or sliding on ice or whatever you've already seen thousand of times. I try to be creative and while it's not always up to whatever standards I'm wishing for I still hope it's good enough for you to enjoy it. What mostly comes to mind is the puzzle I made to use the new Lazuli's transformation which ends up a bit disappointing compared to what I wanted to make.
I kinda wanted to make something inspired from the "Mario & Luigi" games (if you still didn't know what the transformation is, this is an hint). But with rpgm limitations and the fact I'm too bad at 2d spriting to make animated sprite that do complex actions it ended up being way simpler than expected and didn't quite make use of that gameplay mechanic like I wanted.
When it comes to making puzzles it's always a struggle with my ideas versus how to implement them on rpgmaker and it's always about trying to figure out how to "cheat" rpgmaker to make stuff work out in the end.
Anyway, just the new Lucy mission might be around 30 min of playtime by itself so it's a very big chunk of the update and I'm still really proud of how it's turning out to be.
I'll leave you with that.
As usual : Thank you all for the continued support.

2025-02-12 01:43:00 +0000 UTCIf you're talking about my inspirations for the puzzles. No risk at all, you don't steal from Nintendo if you just take the inspiration of making puzzles based around controlling 2 characters.

2025-02-11 18:06:53 +0000 UTCI really like what's being prepared. But be careful with Nintendo-related content. Don't go and get yourself reported.
