So the idea is that Gabe signed up or got picked to participate in some sort of live streaming event, where he gets restrained with some energy shackles to prevent him from floating away, and then gradually get hit with an inflation energy blast.
Viewers can make bets on how big he can get before bursting and can tweak the output on the inflation gun to try and guess how long it will be before he pops.
Top donors can also hook up to VR and appear as holograms around the central stage where they are free to roam around and be close up and personal without having to worry about being caught in the upcoming blast.

Oh I feel you man, especially now that Half Life: Alyx is out. It's almost Half Life 3 but no way to play it :/
