The Black-Stockinged Nun Is Actually a Boy?! [8]
Added 2025-06-11 08:41:44 +0000 UTCWhen Natalie opened her eyes again, the first thing she saw was a sky full of brilliant stars.
“I’m... still alive?” she murmured, slowly sitting up and looking around.
She realized she was still near the entrance of Gray Farm. But the three adventurers who’d come with her were now lying side by side under white cloth sheets, and in the distance—
Helen was crouched over a demon corpse... dissecting it?
“Sister Helen, what are you doing?” Natalie wobbled to her feet, bewildered.
Helen glanced back at her voice, then returned to his work. “Naturally, I’m retrieving the demon’s supernatural seeds.”
“Supernatural seeds?” Natalie echoed in confusion.
Helen just shrugged and kept cutting.
His luck was decent—of the three demon corpses, two seeds were intact.
“I remember the Infernal path unlocks classes like Witch, Warlock, Necromancer, Temptress... Except for Witch and Trickster, which are solid DPS, most are more utility-focused.”
He stared at the two seeds in his hands. One gleamed green like an emerald; the other glowed dark red like a bloodstone. He hesitated.
To a former player like him, these weren’t freely selectable. The color already revealed their class: a Tier 1 Witch seed and a Tier 1 Temptress seed.
There was no question—the Witch class, basically a glass-cannon caster, was stronger overall. But the problem was... it required the user to be a young girl.
Or at least become one.
And Helen wasn’t about to say goodbye to the boys.
As for Temptress—while it was one of the top-tier support classes, it also came with serious drawbacks.
It provided powerful buffs and debuffs, but its side effects often triggered negative emotions in allies—typically overprotectiveness or even sadism.
Many Temptress players in the early game weren’t killed by enemies—they were bullied by their own teammates.
Eventually, high-level players figured out the best solution was to pair the class with justice-obsessed Paladins, who were immune to most of the psychological backlash.
“Temptress is one of the few classes with self-buffing skills... but its downsides are real. I remember a lot of solo experts used it as a secondary.”
Temptress didn’t have to be a main class. It could be taken as a sub.
Some top players paired it with all kinds of builds—including the infamous “Nun + Temptress” combo.
It was powerful, yes, but off-meta—and a bit too lewd for comfort. Even male players were hesitant. Female players rarely touched it.
But in skilled hands, it could be both damage and support. High ceiling, high risk. Even pros used it in tournaments.
“I’ll take it. I might not stay a nun anyway, especially with Constantinople on the verge of falling.”
Resolved, Helen pocketed the red Temptress seed. Then he looked again at the green Witch seed in his hand.
What to do with this one?
“Sister Helen, what should we do about the other three adventurers—eh?”
Natalie froze mid-sentence as Helen extended the green gem to her.
“This is yours. Or rather, your reward.” Helen smiled gently.
Now he understood why Natalie became a Witch in the game’s later storyline—and how those guild players got their hands on supernatural seeds meant for clergy.
They probably traded this Temptress seed for them. And Natalie? She must’ve received this Witch seed from the very battle they’d just survived. It marked the beginning of her vengeance against the Church.
In the game, after this quest ended, the Church forcefully sealed off the farm. They even desecrated her parents’ graves—digging up the corpses and burning them. Natalie was branded a criminal.
No wonder she later became a boss.
“For me?” Natalie blinked, pointing at herself.
Helen nodded.
Right now, he was weak. Rather than hoard the Witch seed or turn it in, it was better to start grooming the future Frost Witch.
“I don’t need anything like this. As long as I can reclaim my family’s farm, I’m content,” she said, confused.
“This seed will let you cross into the supernatural.”
Helen leaned close and whispered in her ear, voice low and laced with temptation—like a true witch’s enchantment.
“Tch—how long does this blackout last? I even had time to scroll the forums.”
Li Wei groaned as he sat up, rubbing his head. He looked around, then froze.
He was still at Gray Farm.
Not dead?
He blinked, dumbfounded. He could’ve sworn that last hit should’ve killed him.
“You’re awake, sir?”
A soft, youthful voice brought him back to reality.
He turned to see Helen, dressed in her nun’s habit, kneeling in the grass. Resting in her lap, like a little white cat, was a peacefully sleeping Natalie.
“Huh? Where are the demons?” Li Wei looked around and noticed not only were the demon corpses gone—but so were his companions, Anna and Victor.
“The Church took the bodies. Your friends woke up, claimed their rewards, and then... disappeared?” Helen tilted her head slightly. “They just vanished on the spot.”
Oh. They must’ve logged off.
Li Wei nodded in understanding and waved his hand to say he was fine, then stood up.
“Here, your reward.” Helen sweetly held out a coin pouch.
Li Wei took it, and the system chimed:
Quest completed.
[Helen]’s Affection: 0 → 10
“Thanks,” he muttered.
Still felt like a net loss. He squinted at Helen’s character panel out of habit.
[Name]: Helen
[Race]: Half-Succubus
[Level]: ???
[Description]: This nun seems to have something she wants to tell you.
“Hm?”
As a streamer, he immediately noticed something was off.
Her level was hidden. That meant she wasn’t a basic NPC. Had she already entered the supernatural tier?
While he was still processing that—
“Mr. Li Wei,” Helen said softly. “Three months from now, Constantinople will no longer be safe. You may want to train in the city. The Church of District 33 will always provide you free healing.”
Li Wei’s eyes widened.
Jackpot.
His earlier bitterness vanished in an instant.
“Got it. Thank you, Sister Helen. I’ll take my leave for now.” With the feeling that his efforts hadn’t been in vain, he logged off—planning to grab a late-night snack.
As a beam of white light flashed and Li Wei vanished, Helen finally let out a long breath.
“So I can assign quests... and set rewards. This might be my edge.”
He was starting to understand how to interact with players.
Looking down, his eyes fell on Natalie, still asleep on his lap.
She’d only just ingested the Witch seed. It would take at least two to three hours of unconsciousness before her body finished fusing with the supernatural power.
Which meant, until then, he had time to wrap things up.
Gently, he shifted Natalie from his lap to the grass, then stood up shakily, rubbing his sore legs.
Being someone’s lap pillow was more exhausting than expected—especially after absorbing a supernatural seed.
“I can probably last another hour,” he muttered, clutching his head and walking to the other side of the farm.
With his small frame, there was no way he could drag three demon corpses anywhere. So instead, he’d dragged the three unconscious players to a different farm exit, making up a story to cover the missing bodies.
Demon corpses were valuable—treasure, really. That applied to any supernatural creature.
So he’d scammed all three players into leaving peacefully. Li Wei was just the last one—because he looked experienced, and Helen needed to handle him carefully.
Crap. I think... I’m out of time.
As soon as he stepped back into the battlefield, a wave of dizziness hit.
The supernatural seed within him had begun to activate.
Helen’s vision blurred. He closed his eyes—
And collapsed to the ground.
