Pokémon: My Titles Know No Limits! [416]
Added 2025-06-23 09:36:59 +0000 UTCBetween Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon, August didn’t hesitate—he chose to help Iron Valiant.
It wasn’t for any particular reason… Just that he’d bought the Violet version before transmigrating.
Definitely not because Iron Valiant’s prototype was Gardevoir.
Salamence: So love really does fade away, huh?
August: “Go, Iron Bundle! Use basketball attack!”
Iron Bundle, who’d been bracing for battle, looked utterly confused at first. It wasn’t until it saw August glancing at the round, ball-like bundle beside it that realization dawned.
Clutching the orb-shaped device, Iron Bundle flicked a switch.
Whoosh!
A blast of frigid air shot out from the sphere, jetting toward Roaring Moon in the sky.
Roaring Moon, who’d been locked in a standoff with Iron Valiant, hadn’t expected an ambush at all. By the time it realized, the [Ice Beam] had already struck its wing.
Watching this unfold, Gary felt a chill of foreboding. No way—I’ve been tricked again, haven’t I?
Roaring Moon let out a tortured howl, but Iron Valiant seized the moment.
With a sharp motion, it slashed at Roaring Moon with a blade of pink light!
Below, two Sandy Shocks burst from the crowd of ancient Pokémon, firing off [Thunderbolts] in an attempt to block Iron Valiant. But with a single swing, Iron Valiant easily shattered their attacks.
Raising its hand, a pink glow lit up its palm.
The pink radiance struck Roaring Moon.
[Dazzling Gleam]
Four times effective against the Dragon and Dark-type Roaring Moon—down it went in an instant!
The remaining ancient Pokémon scattered, vanishing in a blink.
With Roaring Moon dealt with, Iron Valiant turned to August.
August: “Why are you looking at me like that? I’m telling you now, I already have a Gardevoir….”
Iron Valiant’s gaze was far from friendly. Clearly, helping it just now hadn’t earned August any goodwill.
And as Iron Valiant squared off for battle—
August sighed. “You paradox Pokémon really are impossible to reason with….”
“Mew!”
Mew nodded vigorously, scolding Iron Valiant for being ungrateful.
Not that Iron Valiant cared—or perhaps it didn’t even comprehend the concept of gratitude.
Seeing this, August reached for the Poké Ball at his waist, ready to teach this one a lesson.
But before his hand even touched the ball, a flash of white light appeared. Gardevoir materialized at his side, fixing Iron Valiant with a steely look.
“Huh? Gardevoir, you came out yourself?”
Gardevoir rolled her eyes. If she didn’t show up now, she’d have no idea when a new rival might appear.
She turned to size up Iron Valiant, who was also scrutinizing her.
Gardevoir was simply curious why this Iron Valiant looked the way it did. But for Iron Valiant, it was pure caution—a wariness of Gardevoir’s strength.
As a paradox Pokémon standing at the top of the food chain in Area Zero, Iron Valiant had no idea why it suddenly sensed danger in Gardevoir’s presence…
But that wasn’t enough to make it back down.
With a sweep of its pink blade, Iron Valiant readied for attack—only for Gardevoir’s eyes to flash blue. In the very next instant, the same Iron Valiant who had been dominating Roaring Moon was sent flying!
[Psychic]
Iron Valiant sailed dozens of meters before crashing hard into a rock wall, sending cracks spider-webbing across the stone.
“Mew!”
Mew cheered for Gardevoir.
“Go, Teacher!” Lillie clenched her fists, rooting for him.
Meanwhile, Cogita hid half her face behind her fan, settling in to watch the show.
Iron Valiant hadn’t lost the will to fight—its gaze locked on Gardevoir as it pushed off the wall, body streaking forward in a flash of silver, green, and pink.
Gardevoir swept out her hand.
Dozens of rocks erupted from the ground, hurling toward Iron Valiant.
Iron Valiant slashed with its pink blade, shattering each rock as it advanced.
But the assault stalled its charge.
Seeing her opening, Gardevoir’s eyes flashed, and she raised her hand—her overwhelming psychic force pressing down on Iron Valiant from all sides.
Yet Iron Valiant’s expression didn’t flicker. It simply raised its blade, the pink light flaring, and slashed out.
[Fury Cutter]
Bug-type energy ripped a breach through the suffocating psychic field.
Iron Valiant lunged for Gardevoir, but psychic pressure closed in from every direction. Suddenly, Iron Valiant gathered strength and hurled its pink blade at Gardevoir like a javelin!
Whoosh—
The blade tore through the air with a piercing whistle.
Gardevoir simply raised her arm.
Her eyes blazed blue, psychic energy surging.
The pink blade slowed—
Buzz!
—finally freezing in midair, suspended just before her.
“So strong…” Arven breathed, stunned.
Gary nodded.
This is the Gardevoir that defeated Diantha, after all.
Gardevoir gently plucked the blade from the air, turning it over in her hand, satisfaction flickering across her face.
I’ve always wanted a weapon like Mewtwo’s. This one’s not bad at all.
For the first time, Iron Valiant’s expression changed—anxiously reaching out to reclaim its blade. But Gardevoir’s psychic grip slammed it to the ground.
Iron Valiant lost consciousness at last.
August tossed a Poké Ball at the perfect moment—yet as the red light shot out to capture Iron Valiant, it bounced right off the Pokémon’s body, repelled by its own radiance.
August: “…?”
It’s already been caught by someone?
Just then, Cogita’s soft laughter reached his ears.
[Cogita (traveling)]: It’s not just Iron Valiant, you know~
August instinctively looked at Roaring Moon.
He shot Zinnia a look—she was so shocked by the sudden turn that, before August could change his mind, she hurriedly tossed a Poké Ball at Roaring Moon.
And—
Once again, the red capture light was repelled.
Failed to catch!
“Both Pokémon already have Trainers—and they’re rivals….” August mused.
Zinnia suddenly realized she’d been used as August’s pawn again, puffing up in indignation.
“Mr. August… Did you figure something out?” Arven caught his expression and quickly asked.
August looked up at him. “If I’m not mistaken, these two Pokémon must’ve been caught by your parents…”
