Cogita reached down and ruffled the three tufts on Psyduck’s head; a gentle power wrapped around the little duck.

Suddenly, Psyduck didn’t feel hot at all.

Its eyes popped wide—utterly, shockingly relieved!

August watched Koraidon and Miraidon and asked, “Are these Number One or Number Two?”

According to Sada’s earlier diary, she’d summoned two Koraidon. Turo, in order to keep up, must’ve used the time machine to summon two Miraidon as well.

Now, with one of each in front of them, August was very curious about where the other two had ended up.

But Sada and Turo had no intention of answering.

As soon as Koraidon and Miraidon were ready, their gazes locked onto Deoxys, and they immediately received attack orders!

Sada: “Koraidon, [Flare Blitz]!”

Turo: “Miraidon, [Charge Beam]!”

Koraidon was suddenly wreathed in fierce fire, while Miraidon sparked with arcs of blue electricity.

Both Pokémon transformed—rolling into wheels of fire and lightning, they closed in on Deoxys from either side!

Their acceleration was incredible. In the blink of an eye, they’d closed the distance.

But Deoxys was faster!

Deoxys blurred and vanished from its spot.

[Teleport]

Koraidon and Miraidon’s attacks whiffed, and, unable to stop themselves, they crashed into each other in midair—fire and lightning exploding in a violent blast.

Both Pokémon were flung backward by the shockwave.

As Deoxys, having dodged with [Teleport], turned to counterattack, Koraidon and Miraidon instead started fighting each other.

“Raaa!” Koraidon bellowed at Miraidon.

Miraidon snarled back, a deep, rumbling threat in its voice.

Everyone was stunned—no one had expected this turn of events!

Fighting each other?!

No, this was exactly the dynamic Koraidon and Miraidon had always had for all these years!

With Sada and Turo at odds for so long, it was inevitable that the ancient and future Paradox Pokémon would clash and build up their own grudges.

From that perspective, having the two work together against Deoxys was never going to end well.

“Is this Paradise Defense System even working?” August couldn’t help but complain as he watched Koraidon and Miraidon nearly come to blows.

But under August’s command, Mewtwo and Deoxys showed none of the dysfunction of Koraidon and Miraidon.

If anything, their previous battle had only increased their teamwork.
