Imagine if you're Gladio or Ignis and you're just coming to terms with the fact that Noctis has decided to start a relationship with Prompto

And they're like 'okay, we don't have to necessarily like it but we have to deal with it'

And they open the door and see Ardyn over Prom on the bed

But what is Prompto seeing?

And like 'Noctis' is standing behind him

until Noctis bolts in the door

'What the hell are you shouting about?'

'Thats my cue' thinks Ardyn

and just disappears

aka freezes shit and goes out to listen ot the fallout

Prom is just staring at Noctis

And Ignis was thinking maybe it wasnt 100% consensual with Ardyn 

tho Prom seemed pretty into it

And Prompto's like, turning around to look behind him

Can you imagine his voice, almost faint

'Who....were you seeing?'

'Don't play stupid!'

And he gags

Ignis shoves Gladio back and gets Noctis to step in

Because he's doing some super fast addition

and it's not looking good

And WELL

Ignis was right

Gladio did regret it

But should he?

Because he was literally standing up for Noctis?

Prompto is feeling totally violated

I can definitely see where Gladio's coming from here. Like, the evidence of his own eyes is showing him what happened

Ignis follows him into the bathroom where he's gagging over the loo

'Ill be right back, I'll get you a shirt'

Gladio probably still isnt getting it at this point

Ignis will have to spell it out

because he's probably seeing Promptos reaction as admission of guilt

Can't understand why Ignis is so accommodating

Ignis just goes in and shuts the door

Just looks after him for a bit before telling him he's going ot explain it ot the other 2

and he'll let him know when he's safe to come out

which is a scary concept

that he currently isnt safe around Gladio

Prompto would be pretty uncomfortable being intimate with Noctis for a little while, tbh Noct would probably have to prove it's him quite often

Sharing details of their friendship only they know and the Prompto's okay to continue.

Gladio isn't in the room when Prompto comes out and Noctis was sitting watching the door so he's torn between jumping up and staying where he is which results in him half rising and sitting back down.

'Um, is it okay if I bunk with Iggy tonight?'

'Yeah of course!' Thankfully Ignis had coached Noctis on the fact that HE wasn't being punished and to be respectfulof boundaries ina  situation where they had been trampled so thoroughly.

Gladio comes back later, he's had a few drinks but not so many that he's more than tipsy. Probably stops and creepy stares at Prompto for a while before climbing in with Noctis who doesnt so much as twitch at the movement.

Because Gladio's a man of action he'd probably try to make it up to Prompto in deeds rather than words. A gruff apology followed by help with training, hunts that are somewhat scenic around the killing. 

Eventually they ease back into a more comfortable dynamic but it's always there lingering.

Prompto can't blame him of course, he understands where he was coming from but its like that saying

You might forget the words, but you'll never forget how they made you feel.
