I'm thinking nightmares of the testing before he was recovered from the MT facility.
Weeks of screaming himself raw before suddenly he stopped makign a sound.
Noctis remembers him from when they were younger and while he didnt speak much, he definitely did speak.
He mostly texts to Noct,he's super quick and is allowed have his phone out in classes seeing as its a means of communication. He's made Noctis laugh in the middleo f class more than once.
Where everyone falls in love with Prompto without him uttering a word.
