Good morning everyone! Today I pulled the “positive affirmations” card, and honestly this couldn’t be more spot on. I’m definitely someone wirh a lot of negative self talk, and from talking to friends and peers they have been experiencing a lot of the same feelings during quarantine. While I can’t fully blame it on being stuck inside, more so the shadow work I put off for too long that causes issues later on lol. I can say that I’ve been particularly rough on myself lately, and for what??
Genuinely why, I try to ask myself that now when I realize I’m doing it. Sometimes it feels like “dark humor” but even then, why are we dragging ourself down to make a joke? I try to wake up with one goal in mind for the day, and today is going to be speaking kinder to myself!🤍 If you guys are falling down similar negative self talk patterns try and catch yourself, analyze what you’re actually saying and get to the root of that emotion. It’ll probably suck at first because of how naturally this becomes over time, and it’ll take some work addressing, but I promise you’ll feel so much better after a day of positive affirmations!🤍
