Good afternoon moon babes! Today I wanted to share with you how I perform "welcome" ceremonies for new tools! I purchased a stunning new wand a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to build something beautiful to welcome and charge it in preparation for spell work.

I like to do this with really special tools and items in my craft. Sometimes it's a tool, others I am trying to win over a vintage tarot deck or wanting to take extra steps to charge and bless those items! For this wand I cleansed it with dragsons blood, meditated with it focusing on trying to feel its energy and understanding the tool more.

Next it is time to build your welcome space! I picked things that make me feel happy, protected, energetic, and powerful. These items can change depending on what you might be using the tool for ( if it's for protection I would use just protective items/charms/herbs while building the energy grid.) For this ritual I have an eggshell for protection, filled with ash from spells and ancestor money, jasmine flowers, selenite sticks to charge the spell and wand, seashells, and a dressed spell candle. The purpose of the spell candle was to pour protective energy into the wand, so when dressing it I chose cinnamon, bay leaves, eggshells, frank, and dragons blood!

As the ritual continues I will spend time chanting and meditating with my wand. I ask my ancestors and deities to bless the item and aid me in using the tool in my craft. Sometimes this can be a 24 hour ritual, or it may take several days it is completely up to you guys! I find that the tools really appreciate the extra time and energy this takes and it shows in your craft! Do you guys have a ritual like this set up with your tools? I would love to hear it!
