Hot Foot Powder Uses Pt.1

Good morning moon babes! I posted a video yesterday on my business TikTok page where I “showed” me making hotfoot powder. It wasn’t a tutorial nor do I feel comfortable making a  tutorial video,  as making that powder is part of closed practices. However I can tell you guys how to use it! Hot foot powder derives from hoodoo and has been used for the longest, It’s an absolute powerhouse.

Hot foot powder is often used to drive and rid yourself of a particular person, spirits, energies, or anything that is a negative force in your life.

Completely eliminating them from your space / life/ aura. I was always taught that I was allowed to make/ give/sell hotfoot powder to other practitioners outside of hoodoo if they were taught how to use it properly and know the importance of the origins, and why it is useful. Remember when you are purchasing these kinds of products you are really purchasing the magick that practitioner and THEIR spirits put into the mix, be mindful of that.

Traditionally it is laid as a trick, you put it in your enemies shoes, on their doorstep so they walk over the powder to start the working ect. I am going to make a few posts on hot foot powder over the next few weeks, this post is just sharing one of the ways I was taught to use it. This way is one of the most simple ways to rid yourself from a person, complexly banish and drive them away.

You’ll Need:

-Black Candle

-Etching Tool

-Hot foot powder

-Something fire safe.

For the Spell portion I always recommend divining before you cast to make sure this will play out the way you were hoping for.

-Cleanse all of your items, call down your spirits, ancestors, anyone you’d like.

-Carve the name of the person/entity/ whatever you’d like to drive away into your black candle and then dress your candle with a little olive oil and then the hot foot powder. At this point I would pray to the candle, the ingredients esp if you didn’t make them, tell them exactly what you wish to come from this working. Pray to your spirits and push all your energy and intent into your candle. If you practice hoodoo there are specific Psalms you can recite as you are lighting your candle, I would do this here if you feel comfortable. Let the candle burn the whole way down while you are working with the energy.

After the candle has burned down, if there is anything left you need to dispose of it far from your home, either in running water (if you used biodegradable candle wax) or in a trash bin half way across town. Then wash your hands with Florida water and you are set!!
