Crystal Convos - Carnelian

Good afternoon moon babes! Today we're back at it again with another Crystal Convos post. This series is all about talking to you about gemstones, their spiritual properties, and why I love using them in my practice.

Previously, I've talked about Money Agate, Labradorite, Aquamarine, Moonstone, and Tiger's Eye. Today I want to talk about Carnelian!

Carnelian is seriously amazing for so many reasons. I love it and wear it daily, normally in bracelet and ring form. Carnelian is often associated with stability and grounding, it helps to improve confidence and creativity, enhances passion, desire, and domination Carnelian helps us stay focused, overall, it's great for relationship workings, communication, and allowing you to get more in tune with yourself. I personally like wearing it daily for a boost of confidence, self-control,  romance, boosting sexual desire, passion, and creativity.

The color of carnelian is usually red, orange, or something in between. It's most known for being red but its color can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to almost black. You can see some of the color differences in these mini carnelian towers!

Carnelian is actually a variety of the silica mineral chalcedony. You can find carnelian in places like Peru, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Brazil, India, Russia (Siberia), and Germany, and you can find it other places too. In history, we can see that carnelian beads were used long long ago ever since the middle of the 5th millennium BC. Carnelian was also used to seal wax onto important documents since hot wax does not stick to carnelian.
