[Silver over]Interview behind the scenes of the new SoD:ID song!

This time, we interviewed Mr. Yukue, who was the producer of the song creation.

Bashiko: Let me start by asking you about the general process of songwriting.

Yukue: First of all, we released a rough draft* of a new song the other day.

What is a rough sound source like this? We gave the composer an image of a "dark" or "bright idol" song, as well as the BPM (song tempo), and the data was created based on that.

(*)Published in the September 30 article Emerald Plan and Above.

Bashiko: I imagine that we would make several changes based on this rough draft. Which came first, the lyrics or the music?

Yukue: This time, the song came first, and then the lyrics were added.

Bashiko: Tell us about this song.

Yukue: The theme of this song is "E-no-maru," and it was to be used in the scene where this new character appears.

I wanted to give the character's personality to the song. I just wanted to show the character's personality! My first impression when I received the rough draft was that it was very good. The new character Enomaru has a comical impression, so we asked the artist to give him a slightly comical look.

Bashiko: By the way...

The song that has been released to the public does not have lyrics, but behind the scenes it is almost finished.

Could you tell us about the lyrics in secret?

Yukue: I'm trying to give it a bit of an oblique feel.

As you can see from the lyrics, idols are supposed to be shiny and bright, but in this song, it's more like "I came to Tokyo, but I can't be an idol, so I'm a bit downcast. The song also reflects the fact that she is a little bit foul-mouthed.

Bashiko: Was there anything that was difficult?

Yukue: Even if there is a word that fits the image, it doesn't always fit the song. For example, even if you have the right number of words for a melody line, it may not fit the song.

To give a concrete example, in the second song, the word "Die!" in the second song, but if you want to use it, and you use it in the first song, it's too strong a word, and it gets blurred in the second and subsequent songs. I prefer to use strong words last.

BASHKO: Thank you! I look forward to reading more from you!

How was it?

I didn't know that there is a "rough" version of a song like an illustration.... I had never heard of this before.

If you are interested, please join the Emerald Plan and listen to the rough draft of the first song!

Next, we have the long-awaited erotic drawings of Mr. Itacho!
