Hi, I'm Xai!
The character in the thumbnail was created by Akatsuchi!
Well, this is a soothing illustration that soaks into my tired body...
Now for today's topic...
Nothing in particular!
Seriously, it's hard to update every 10 days!
As is often the case with TeamKRAMA, things don't go as planned!
Even if you plan your updates with plenty of time to spare, things don't go as planned...
Today, I would like to talk about the schedule.
Budget management and schedule management are two very important factors in the production process in general.
Even if you are a coterie, it will be difficult to make a proper game if you neglect these two factors.
At the same time, it is important to set a time frame goal.
In the game industry, this is often referred to as "milestones.
The oft-repeated alpha and beta tests are also milestones.
The idea is that by breaking down the long road to game completion into smaller pieces, long-term goals can be made short-term and development can be focused.
Setting these milestones also has the effect of preventing deadlines and reducing development risks.
At TeamKRAMA, we often set milestones to control the development period, but we are not so particular about meeting the deadlines, including myself.
This is because we believe that creating a product that satisfies the customer is overwhelmingly more important than meeting deadlines.
To achieve this, we are committed to creating games that are fun to play and enjoyable to make. We believe that it is necessary to continue to pursue games that we can enjoy making.
Although it has been almost 8 years since TeamKRAMA was formed, I don't really think of game development as a job, but rather as an extension of my hobby.
Every day we make new discoveries and come up with new ideas, which we then turn into reality.
Sometimes unscheduled development or unplanned specifications are reflected in the game.
Each time this happens, we fall behind schedule, but rather than worrying about it, we are excitedly thinking, "If we include this specification, will the customer think it's fun?
We challenge ourselves to do various things, and if we fail, we just pull out of the game.
Rather than being conservative in order to fulfill our responsibilities as an organization, we are a team that never forgets the excitement of being a coterie of people, and is always willing to give it a try and be proactive.
In my next article, I would like to write about a story we have been working on for almost half a year.
I really don't know if I can make it into an article! Keep your fingers crossed that it goes as planned!!!!
