Yeah, most isekai protags are really easy to self-insert, and it's easier to write for because you can get away with info dumps explaining the world, magic systems etc to the protagonist and the viewer.

2020-08-08 20:18:23 +0000 UTCMaybe that's one of the reasons I like berserk so much. It's kind of sad that we don't get more actual Fantatsy stories in anime. Theres definitely a call for it, but maybe its because producers think that having a more relatable protagonist gives a series a higher chance of success?
