Agree with everything above stated. Naruto is not only NOT inspired by western mythology or any old western philosophy but is very much biased against it. That's why many fans of other anime that is leaning towards that way (like AOT) don't really agree with Naruto's message. This show tends to show some of the more stoic characters like Nagato, Sasuke, Tobirama and others opposed to Naruto's, Jiraiya's or Hiruzen's Buddhist, Hinduist or Shintoist philosophies where the later one always triumphs, in addition, Perceptionist characters like Itachi are shown as blatantly wrong, they even have these characters confess to the flaws of their philosophy. Instead of showing that neither is better or worse but simply different, they tend to highlight that difference to promote a favorable view but they do it so well that you can barely call it biased.

Regarding the religious aspect: Naruto is still not influenced by western mythology to any substantial degree, it's still mainly inspired by Daoism, Buddhism, and Hinduism. However, there is an interesting reason why it might seem that way: You see, regardless of dogma, the universal (or omniversal) truth is the same for everyone and everything. A prophet, as in, someone who is close to understanding the truth (Buddha, Laozi, Jesus, etc.) does not see things as different from any other prophet. It's just that when certain dogma and hyperbola get mixed in, the end result religion might stray from the truth. The trinity, for instance, is something big in Christianity but also in Daoism. However, because Christianity is more hyperbola-based the trinity is interpreted as "God --> Holy Spirit -> Son (Jesus)". When in reality, the trinity is "Mind, Soul, And Body" or "God -> the flow between God and everything else -> everything else. In the pantheistic sense, there is God (Father), and then God flows (Holy Spirit), becoming finite by shuffling Itself in layers of disparity (Son). Those layers of disparity themselves (Finite Mind as a result of interaction between Soul and Body), can in on themselves be interpreted as the trinity. Inside the creation, these components of creation coalesce and that's where yin-yang stands (although duality is traceable to even the first stages of creation). There are ... many yins and many yangs, so there is no definite answer as to where the father begins, where the holy spirit continues, and where the son ends. So Kaguya is not meant to signify the "Father" per se. She just ate the fruit which allowed her chakra to be complete or reminiscent of Akasha (the first stage of creation or "flow" between God and layers of disparity) So there you go, there is some overlap. I highly recommend getting into Daoism and & or Buddhism. The amount of clarity it's going to bring is incredible. So let's recap: There is God (Void) - > God Becomes unity (Akasha) -> Akasha splits Itself into Mind Body and Soul -> Akasha dreams up a world where Soul and Body interact in order to unlock a mind specifically for their respective ingredients. The minds unlocked (ours), all come from the same place. And ba da bing ba da boom, now we are watching reaction videos from BOLDcast. Life truly is beautiful.

I can't believe Carson FORGOT that even happened when Naruto was sooo angry and when it happened I was so EXCITED about that!!!

Kevin Kovacs

Bruh ofc the sage mode thing happened

Yasito Jimenez Moncada

The thing with sage mode in the tree with Nagato totally did happen. Most fans were hyped when it was first shown, we all started talking about the possibilities of what Naruto could do. However at first we didn't consider it Kurama being mad, just Naruto being mad and Kurama using that to his advantage.

Friedsheep .

every time you upload, for me, it's Christmas - thank you for every upload
