You need senju chakra likely since they seem similar to the uzumakis adamantine chains and the senju are cousins of the uzumaki

The 8 Tails is almost more powerful than 1 thru 7 put together, so in order for the Gedo Statue to hold them in on its own, it needs the power from the chakra of the other 7. The 9 Tails is by orders of magntitude more powerful than the other 8 combined. So in order to hold the 9 Tails in, the Gedo Statue needs the other 8 inside it.

2021-10-11 17:06:44 +0000 UTCThe reason that Madara can do it in one shot is because of what you know is going to be revealed about who Madara and Hashirama actually are plus the fact that Madara has Hashirama's chakra (from BEFORE BOTH HE AND HASHIRAMA DIED. That is very important to understand why Madara could not awaken a Rinnegan in Obito).

He "mastered" the ability to use sage chakra that he had absorbed from Hashirama. If Madara had actually gained the ability to make sage chakra on his own, well let's just say the ending of Naruto would have been everyone dead.

2021-10-11 04:04:21 +0000 UTCSo my thoughts on why Madara is able to seal the beasts faster is that the Akatsuki used the Nine Phantom Dragons sealing jutsu, and Madara is using the chains from the gedo statue. We've previously seen Obito drag them into the Gedo Statue very quickly, and I'm pretty sure it was after the controlling rods were removed. So I don't think the rods were the reason, but the chains. EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it, Didn't Obito say something like needing both Uchiha and Senju powers to manifest those chains? I'm not sure, but I think I remember something like that...
