I thought you will like this OVA more. Especially because you said you really liked Kyou. In afrer story you even shipped them after Nagisa's death. Also, I do not agree that this "came out of nowhere" . In season 1 it was very clear that both twins loved Tomoya. These 3 even hanged out together a lots of times where Kyou strongly tried to push Ryou and Tomoya together. They constantly ate together in school, only these 3, ect. It was just before Tomoya openly chosed Nagisa. And this OVA basically goes back to that part of the series, showing what would happened if Ryou confessed back then.

2021-11-03 08:14:46 +0000 UTCRyou's boyfriend in the VN is a character who doesn't appear in the anime at all. Kinda crazy how even with two full seasons, there are still characters and routes in the VN that didn't get adapted.
