SHIPPUDEN UNCUTS FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER!

Comments

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but when you asked why Kakashi still had the eye patch, its a side effect of how they churn out the animation from the studies. They don't always animate the episodes and scenes in order and they work from templates. Its kind of a fascinating thing how animators worked back before it became as computerized as it is now, so they could have efficiency and save time with the sheer amount of volume of animation top studious get. You can probably email the animation studious for press releases and do white papers, maybe even find those on their sites, explaining some of the methodologies and so forth.

Road to Ninja is my favorite of the movies.

Nikolai Stoykov .

check the previous uncuts posts, it was posted earlier

BOLDcast

thanks for the heads up, I'll fix that soon

BOLDcast

Where's 421?

Dakoda moore

I thought I was just really bad at syncing up but there is actually an echo from the Naruto footage in episode 478 (and 479 too).

AtomicRazor

@Matthew I need to correct you on two points. #1) The Japanese Team 7 VAs have admitted that Kishimoto told them that Sasuke and Sakura were supposed to end up together before the OG anime started airing which was back when Kishimoto was drawing the Chunin Exams. Kishimoto had also admitted that he decided pretty early on that Naruto and Sakura were pretty different from each other which is likely what prompted the creation of Hinata as alternative love interesting during the Chunin Exams in the manga (she was in the anime from episode 1). Kishimoto had also admitted that he was on the fence about going with Sakura for Naruto in early Shippuden but didn't really write toward that outcome and thought it'd be too out of character for her to switch from loving Sasuke to loving Naruto especially when she's been all about Sasuke. Kishimoto did keep his options until he said he made those plans concrete by the middle of the manga to go with Hinata for Naruto. Sakura's biggest fault lies with her premise in that she was created to make a love triangle between Naruto and Sasuke. 2) Sasuke wasn't going to kill them at Oro's hideout. Sasuke had a no kill rule in place at that point. He wouldn't even kill random Sound Ninja. It also waters down the point in the 5 Kage Arc that Sasuke being willing to kill Sakura shows how far he's fallen if he was willing to Sakura at Oro's hideout. Meta-wise, I think Kishimoto was struggling to decide how callous to make Sasuke so he was keeping his options open on which way to go with Sasuke but in hindsight and in-story, the only way it makes sense is that no-kill-rule Sasuke was bluffing about killing them in order to make them go away by seeming like he doesn't care about the. That'd also explain why Sasuke stabbed Yamato in the shoulder and ran a Chidori Stream in order to paralyze him rather than stabbing him in the head or some other place more lethal.

Thanks for the massive upload! I hope youtube leaves you guys alone. I have literally seen people post the whole episode in their reactions with just music playing over it and a color filter and they never get dinged! On the problems with Sakura's character. People like to say that Kishimoto does not like or cannot write. female characters, but that does not explain how awesome Tsunade and Kushina are written. Or how well in terms of being a supporting character, (C level) Ino and Karin are. Fundamentally Sakura suffers from 2 things. One, and this is something that not every one realizes (a lot of Sasuke haters don't realize this either). Naruto and Sasuke are and always were co-main characters. Everyone else is and always was a supporting character. If you think about Sakura in that light and then think about this. Kishimoto almost always writes supporting characters in terms of what they do to move the plot forward. So for Sakura...welll for example, Naruto needed to confront Sasuke one more time before the war arc began in order for Naruto to understand the message Asura's chakra was telling him, that killing Sasuke was not the answer. So Sakura was used to manipulate all those events...lying to Naruto about loving him, knocking all the other Konoha 12 out with knockout poison, just so that final confrontation back then could occur. Same as with the Rinnegan here. Madara needed to get that second Rinnegan (though back then I said a better twist would have been Sakura actually destroying it, leading to Madara stealing Sasuke's Rinnegan, leading to Sakura combined power with Naruto to heal/regrow Sasuke's Rinnegan eye. But that last bit is just my fanon suggestions. The other reason Sakura suffers as a character is Kishitmoto's decision shortly before the Pain arc to not make Naruto wind up with Sakura but instead with Hinata. So Sakura appears like she is suffering from battered woman syndrome as she is hopelessly in love with Sasuke who has emotionally abused her, tried to kill her twice (when Orochimaru stopped Sasuke from hiitting them with Kirin was the first time) and who continues to show a complete lack of care for her.

It was a good journey thanks a lot guys. Really looking forward to seeing the other episodes and the movie.

Oh wow, thanks so much for this!! I wasn't expecting this many :O I'm glad you were able to find things to enjoy even after the Kaguya/Black Zetsu nonsense. But I also liked what you said about her making thematic sense as mother nature, i never thought about all that stuff before. It made me think that with just some sliiiightly better execution and a few tweaks here and there I wouldn't have had nearly so many problems with the story. I also had some thoughts re ep 471/472:, I do think there's a lot of context for why Kakashi made the teaching decisions he did, though. Like, he was the only one of the sensei who had two students qualify for the 3rd chunin exam, Sasuke had Orochimaru after him (and the same episode where he stops Kabuto from killing him is when he tells Naruto he can't train him), Sasuke's also fighting Gaara who he's just seen destroy Lee and is by far the most dangerous exam candidate.. So yeah, then after Konoha crush was when his team began to fall apart, cuz then you have the stuff with Itachi, him being in a coma, him waking up and Sasuke and Naruto fighting, him getting missions immediately after, Sasuke leaving and then it's the end of part 1. Also, Jiraiya also told him to focus on Sasuke, which logically must have happened before Konoha crush or just after. So yeah, I kinda see Kakashi and his students as a 'it just kinda is what it is' kinda situation, rather than him specifically making lots of bad decisions and neglecting Sakura and Naruto continuously. Obviously he's saved their asses a bunch of times too, so Idk, the 'doing nothing' just never rang true to me but it makes sense for his character why he would see it that way. A part of me also likes the sharingan thing was temporary, I actually like that Kakashi got his original eye back. It makes sense narratively to me, it's, like, closure for his character? It resolves the past in a way, the sharingan was a burden for him just as much as it helped him I feel, both physically and mentally. Also, I totally get stopping at episode 479. That's where the manga ended, after all, with one epilogue chapter leading into Boruto after, so even now i'm not familiar with most of the epilogue stuff in the anime. Also that last scene in episode 479 after the ending is a reference to the first page of the manga, the first and last page of the manga have the same look so it's a lovely little bookend. If i was anime-only i probably would have left it there too. (Also, Kakashi has his headband that way in the manga too, but then doesn't in the epilogue, so it's not an anime mistake. I rationalised it as a habit thing) And lmao, episode 469 makes a big mistake with Kakashi's eye, the character models especially in the last scenes of Kakashi are also really off compared to the manga. It's a shame, given it's the only time we see his face, but I still really like the episode lol

holyfuzazzle

I don't think I saw that tiny part in 472 where it showed that Obito, Pain, and Konan all went to capture and genjutsu the 4th Mizukage Yagura in a filler arc. I could be wrong, but I'm not thinkin so. On a side note though I find it funny that ghost Minato didn't have arms still.

Greg Davis (YT-nobody you need to know)

Honestly i wouldn't say its better done, kishimotos understudys do alot of shit thats not great or isn't very well thought out of you know alot about og naruto, so i kinda like the all kishimoto take on it that the movie is

Charlie baker

I actually didn't remember that, anyway it makes sense. so much of my knowledge about this part of the story has holes in it because I skipped a lot of these final episodes.

BOLDcast

thanks a lot man, glad we could entertain. And yeah, I've seen the movie, but i havent seen the anime adaptation of that part of the story and everyone says its better done, so we're just gonna watch that. and there will be new stuff for both of us Thanks for sticking with us for so long man

BOLDcast

So If you remember in the flashback episodes of the 9 tails and Obito's attack on the Hidden Leaf, Minato teleports to that same spot he's on on the stone faces just before Obito tries to snatch him and they have that epic little skirmish. Meaning he had a marking there. It showed when he teleported to Obito during the war using the same mark that he had placed on him during the earlier battle before he died that his marks didn't disappear when he died. So when he teleported away after taking the orbs to the back he instinctually teleported to that spot in the village.

Greg Davis (YT-nobody you need to know)
