This is exactly how I feel as well; fits so much better with Boruto as the Otsutsuki are kind of the basis of the whole show. I feel like they should've hinted Kaguya's appearance FOR Boruto instead of making Kaguya a villian in Naruto, but I guess that would make the Boruto series longer

At this point I think you guys have already chosen whether or not to watch the Kaguya filler but I think it is very important to understanding more of her intentions and makes it seem like her appearance in the show a bit less out of place than before; I was honestly surprised it was labeled filler bc I think it's that important

It wasn’t that black zetsu planned everything he simply was initiating certain conflicts from the shadows for years upon years to find someone like Madara that would push forth for this type of thing. Kishimoto didn’t know how to truly end Madara cause he made him too powerful honestly.

Kaguya actually ties in WAY better to the Boruto series which is a canon continuation of Naruto. If they had saved Kaguya for that part instead of now more people would be accepting of her. No need to feel bad. I personally think she’s cool but totally understand the hate if you do hate her. I think she just needed to be mentioned once or twice beforehand so she didn’t feel random

Lindsey, I don’t usually comment and english is not my first language but I will try anyway. I just want to say that I have experience in psychology which means that im not just guessing this. You are EXTREMELY kind, seriously, its admirable. The way you cry was not out of sadness, it was out of empathy, which is VERY rare. Obviously, I’ve never met you personally, but I can tell you that you are a super kind person and you deserve to be praise for it. Congratulations.

I don’t like Kaguya she sucks but I will say this, you have to take everything Madara knows about her & history with a grain a salt. Black Zetsu for better or worse tricked the Uchiha by rewriting the stone tablet so everything Madara thought he knew was BS. That’s why when he’s explaining Kaguya’s story to Hashirama it seems like a last min edition or everything is convoluted. It stupid how black zetsu planned all of this but it is what it is, the hints were there as early as the start of the war. Because Obito is completely shocked how Kabuto was able to find Madara’s body, only Obito & the Zetsus should’ve known where it was- in their hideout that nobody else should have access to at that lol. It’s a subtle hint but it was kishi already planting the seeds for a black zetsu turn. Also in the Hashirama flashback after his fight with Madara at the final valley Hashirama looks up with a concerned face because he senses someone was watching their fight which was Black zetsu so the seeds were there even if it was poorly executed. I’m completely with Lindsay 100% though Kaguya’s addition doesn’t really add anything meaningful with the story that wasn’t already there with Madara. Also the Kaguya filler isn’t really filler anymore cause it hints at things that eventually happen in Boruto sorry for the long post haha.

The stuff about her coming to Earth isnt filler btw. Perhaps in the moment it was but it was made canon by Kishimoto. I wont go into too much more for potential Boruto spoilers but it hints at stuff that happens in Boruto

Not surprised you're not liking it. Personally, I'm more positive about the Kaguya stuff than most, but mostly because the anime staff really try hard to sell it. I think the staff realized the story and writing of Kaguya was lacking because they try so many things to make it work. They make a filler episode about Kaguya first coming to earth, a filler about the Sage of 6 Paths and his brother fighting Kaguya, a filler arc about Indra and Ashura. Also, they really pull out the stops for the Kaguya arc by making the arc incredibly well animated, and they even composed completely new music, some of which are my favorite tracks, to try and make it work, and I think they succeed a bit. They can't make it good, but they do in my opinion make it tolerable whereas in the manga it was just completely awful.
